I?ve used a1 for several years but the last experience wasn?t great. Was buying 2 sets of 4 premium tyres. First set had a bit of urgency since my front tyres were both scrubbed badly on the outside (coincidentally they?d been aligned by a1, though because it was a year on they laughed off any responsibility). Ordered a set of premiums through them directly, but I had to wait longer than I?d have liked, fair enough they were all seasons and it was winter, but black circles offered a few days sooner. I wanted to support local business more so went with the slightly dearer option and later date by buying from a1.I phoned a few of days before to check I was still on for the original date(whilst ordering the second set of 4 premium tyres) only to find the first set had been delayed by two days, though they hadn?t thought to phone or tell me. With work commitments it would have been another week. Had to cancel and order through black circles to get an earlier date. He warned me that black circles were notorious for being delayed. They were still getting fitted at a1.Went to get them fitted on the booked date, (on schedule from black circles), only one guy on in the whole place so had to wait and hour and a half. Alignment was £40, awd suvSecond set ended up being from black circles. Got them to align them even though the last set had worn evenly (newish car, first time changing). Told me alignment was way out, so told them to align them. Should have negotiated the price first. This time £55, only a week later, Quattro. Told me it was because this was a 4wd. And it took them next to no time to adjust.Don?t know if they were trying to get more money from a black circles order or if this was legit, but considering I?d just got 8 tyres fitted and aligned through them they weren?t doing me any favours.Will be shopping around and if I need to go back will be negotiating hard on the alignment . If the tyres scrub again I?ll not be back, the car?s been checked by the mechanic a couple of times now.

Purchased 4 new tyres for my gti golf. These guys went above and beyond to get my tyres very quickly. They contacted me as soon as they arrived and we agreed a day & time for fitting. Had a lovely coffee from their barista bar whilst waiting. Reece and Chris were very professional and well mannered. Highly recommend A1 tyres.

Phoned up looking a headlight alignment last minute at around 4pm and the lady on the phone said they could do it and that they?d very kindly make time for me and ensure they get me sorted. She was so kind, friendly and helpful.When I called round, the staff started a wheel alignment rather than a headlight alignment and when I clocked on to this, I mentioned to them. I admit I had a lot on so it took me a few minutes to realise it was the wrong thing.They stopped in disbelief at the confusion and started laughing and swearing amongst each other and aggressively took off the wheel alignments then to tell me they can?t align headlights for my car.I?ve never felt more humiliated and embarrassed. No swearing was at me personally but there were lots of swears between two staff when I said it?s a headlight alignment not a wheel alignment.This review is from a few months ago but only getting around to posting now. It?s just been something that?s played on my mind and I?ve not had the courage to post something about it until now.
