Completely waste of time! Went there to simply copy my documents, after almost 1 hour in the phone opening a bank account, but the lady that copy my documents didn't bother take 30 seconds to see what she was copying, and she took only one page of my passport, just the picture, not the signature page. So I had to take another morning off work, to go back there so she could copy the same document again, properly this time, so it cost me 2 morning off work (I'm paid by hour), but she didn't sent it on time, and my application expired. So I would have do ring the bank again, and take another morning off, to copy everything again! Is a completely disrespect with clients time!Went to AIB in the same street and had my bank account sorted in 25min!

Long queues outside while only 2 customers inside a large bank building is just ridiculous. I know it's supposidly because of covid but the management need to employ some common sense. their staff are already behind a glass partition and at no risk. this is just another effort by Ulster bak to drive their long standing customers away. Very disappointed. The staff are lovely and it's not their fault but management need a shake up

I rarely go into banks and I've never knowingly met a bank manager either socially or professionally. And I see no reason to break the habit of a lifetime. In fact as I think about it I've never withdrawn money from a hole in the wall using a credit card either. I'd heard that this town centre place has a coin counting machine so if you've accumulated a lot of coins you push a few buttons chuck in all your coins and it counts impressively quickly and gives you a print out credit note. Then you need to have an account or a relative with same. For me it's the latter as they must lodge the money on the credit note and withdraw it to avoid money laundering legislation. Well that's the theory. It didn't quite work out that way as the machine was already full of coins so it only counted a small part of what I'd accumulated at home and on screen it froze and said go get an assistant. The assistant didn't keep me waiting any time at all but it became tedious with her repeatedly pushing on screen buttons, opening and closing the machine and restarting the machine only for it to count very few coins and stop again. So after 10 minutes of this unsatisfactory process we each became fed up. When told the machine was full and they had to wait for Securicor to arrive to empty and re set which mightn't be today I said I'd try again next week. That'll have me in a bank twice in a week or about the number of times I've been in a bank in the last 10 or more years. I'd say the machine counted the coins that it did count in well under a minute but had I to sort and count it would have taken me many hours. The staff are all mega helpful and a cheery bunch. Oh and a word about our stupid politicians who devise stupid legislation that even if you only get five pounds via coin lodgement it still must be lodged into an account to be paid out meanwhile real criminals can money launder tens of millions of pounds undetected. I mean about two years ago here one of the biggest money laundering scams - a dodgy exchange bureau- that had gone on for years was right next door to a police station. Ya couldn't make it up.

Horrible service. Teller could not give me statement ,directed to another queue, had to leave bank after a 20min wait, came back 30min later and apart from tellers no one was on duty. Walked across road opened a new account with Nationwide and at present changing over direct debits. Ironically the bank doesnâ??t care. No wonder branches are closing.

I've had a disastrous few weeks with Ulster Bank. I had a small issue with an old bank card, a crack was causing it to fail in some debit machines, but it still worked at most ATMs.
It was starting to bug me so I paid a visit to my local branch in Newry, to order a new card, the till clerk then informed me that she had cancelled by old card by accident, leaving me with no card for almost two weeks.
I wasn't that angry, mistakes happen, I still had the emergency cash option through my phone.
Then they posted out four debit cards for some strange reason and a pin code on a letter that didn't work with any of the cards?
I called into the branch in Armagh to have the issue resolved. The lady in there cancelled two cards and left me with a normal card and a contactless card and informed me that she would order a pin for the contactless card, but I had to wait another week.
I wasn't quite sure why she left me with two cards, but I kept the second one in case of any similar incidents in the future.
Pin code arrived, contactless card was working well for over a week, and then, one day at the counter in ny local shop my card FAILED. The bank had cancelled it for some strange reason.
Leaving me with a cancelled card and a card with no pin ð??? Slightly frustrate to say the least.

Till Clerk was very unhelpful and unfriendly
Long Wait times,
Cannot book Saturday appointment by phone, you have to go to the branch... To book an appointment at the branch
Disorganised, with no clear place to queue for queries beyond that of general cashier
Would avoid in future
