I can?t go to Portadown without being drawn into this store! I love the unique pieces stocked here. The shopping experience is further enhanced by Thomas and his staff who are both helpful & professional. I appreciate that they have remembered my name from my very first visit which makes it a warm & personal experience.
I have purchased a few items now & have had to return an item and have to commend them on their excellent customer service. In fact Thomas, Zoe & Antony went above & beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase.
I will definitely be returning for some retail therapy, delicious coffee & sweet treats. ???

Very disappointing visit to the store yesterday. I purchased an item 7 days prior and returned it in the same pristine condition along with the receipt. The staff said that due to company policy they could only issue a credit note. I advised that there was nothing else in the store that I would like, therefore wanted a refund. The female assistant then went on to say that river island don?t issue refunds either (which is totally unrelated and untrue, I have returned items there prior.)
I advised that I would have never purchased this item had I been aware that I could not get my money back. There is no returns policy on the receipt and no visible or verbal mention of this when I purchased the item.
The female assistant went away to ?speak to the manager?. A man came over in the meantime and could clearly see I was upset and annoyed and told me to have a walk around, which I found extremely condescending.
The male and female assistant both came back saying that the ?manager? said no in a firm and unsympathetic manner. I stated that I was very unsatisfied with this and a credit note was no use to me. I wanted the money so I could purchase something elsewhere, as nothing else within the store worked for me. I pled my case in store for 15-20minutes and was receiving no understanding from staff whatsoever. I have prior years experience in retail and there is usually a goodwill approach applied in this instance. Instead I was met with a stalemate and a tone which I found both condescending, rude and insincere.
I will not be back to this store, which is disappointing as Portadown is a small town and I am a target customer who likes to support local businesses. I left feeling disappointed, angry, upset and disheartened. Just a warning for anyone who purchases something there if you want to refund you won?t get one.
