My wife was treated appallingly by the pharmacist here after he called her regarding her prescription. The items in question were supposed to go to a third party and they had notes on the account to state that if they were ever sent to them by mistake they were to ring the doctors, after the last time this happened. He chose to ignore this and order them anyway resulting in it taking more than a week longer for her to get these and we are still waiting for one item. These are not the sort of thing she can manage without for even one day, they are essential items.
My wife has also has had COPD for over 10 years and the recent heatwave has made breathing very difficult, so she asked if they could deliver, he told her they only deliver in the afternoon, which he had been told was no good as, due to her poor health, she usually has to have a sleep in the afternoon. He then added further insult by accusing her of shouting at him. Again , she has COPD and it takes a lot of effort to talk, especially in the heat and her voice is usually very quiet or distressed by the effort it takes to be heard.
Today I went with her to collect them (as well as her other large prescription order) and the pharmacist my wife spoke to was not in.
She was told that the pharmacist wanted to see her in the side room, making us both feel that we were going into a confrontational situation regarding the previous day, it turned out to be unrelated and was for a prescription review but it added to the stress. She also felt that anyone elso who may have been in the shop may have assumed that she was one of the many methadone users who are called into theses rooms, previous pharmacies have always stated that was for a prescripion review before you go in.
After this, she discussed the issue with those who were there and they said that the other item could be delivered to save her having to collect again but the staff who we spoke to also advised her that they could deliver in the morning, contrary to what the pharmacist had said the day before, it seems that he was determined to make this situation more difficult and distressing than it already was.
This is only the second time we have used this pharmacy and it is also the last. I expect customers to be treated with compassion and dignity and this man gave none.
