It's an old building with still visible beams and wheelchair access. It is your typical spit and sawdust pub but it can be a cracking night out, they have music playing and sometimes a gig on like karaoke, a singer or a DJ.

Went in to watch football (England v USA) terrible atmosphere, hardly any customers! Discovered the temporary manages is also manager to another pub in the village! Was informed at 8.50pm that the pub would be closing straight after the football? What????? It?s a Friday night????? Apparently it was so the temporary manager could go back to the other pub as that?s his priority! 12 customers walked in as a group and they turned them away! However as we left - they served a few of the other customers who were still in there! Not a warm reception and felt compelled to leave! Need a permanent manager quickly? Or else another pub in edwinstowe will end up closing? Sort yourselves out???? 0/10

How pubs used to be in working class northern towns. Not posh at all but frequented by salt of the earth folk!

Situated in the village of Eddlestone, Sherwood forest, this delightful pub gives a taste of olde England.quiet warm by all counts on a cool day,it provides a lovely change from the hoardes of Sunday lunchers. Charming services in timbered surrounds.Shaped as the letter'L' it has a open fireplace in the lower bar area.Deserves a 4 star ,actually
