“Easy check in and check out. Comfortable room and bed. Although basic. It had all I needed. bathroom was clean and perfect. Nice shower. Location is out of town. Didn't bother me because I was visiting family. But it's a 20 minute bus ride to the city centre.”

“UPDATE: This is now from April 2022 a Heron Foods Store, and it has amazingly cheap prices for 'branded' goods.... I think it will do very well, in its current position....☺️☺️. It doesn't have an ATM outside though, like the old Sainsbury's Local..... Heron Foods - a top place for a bargain.... They have everything you could want, chiller foods , canned food, fresh food, frozen foods, toiletries,toilet rolls, packet cake mixes, cheeses, butter etc...... Well worth a visit....”

“This is a good coop with a decent sized car park.This shop has a good range of fresh fruit and veg along with a good bakery section.Being a coop the prices are a little bit higher than you would find in similar shops but the products are good quality.”

“The greatest asset for McColls store on Broxtowe Lane are the staff. They are all really friendly, helpful & efficient. The company should be really proud of them. A good range of products from newspapers through to groceries that are just what you need. Prices might be a tad high but this more than made up for by the people working there. Plus there is a Post Office which is a magnificent addition. Especially as the nearest bank has recently closed. Again, the PO is brilliantly run singlehandly. Providing a first class service. Queues may seem long at busy times but they move pretty quickly. During the hot summer months the staff suffer from terrible heat conditions because of the glaring sun & no air conditioning. Unsung heroes manning their stations even during the height of the pandemic.”

“Sami and Bali who run Ironville Post Office are always so friendly and helpful and recently went above and beyond expectations in helping me to post an urgent parcel that required Special Delivery, after I'd been told by another post office a couple of miles away that it was too late. I managed to rush back to them and Sami ensured my parcel was collected. I really can't thank them enough. They also give so much to their local community, amongst other things, donating and helping to co-ordinate food donations during the Covid lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. I really can't sing their praises enough. They are a credit to the Post Office and the community is lucky to have them.”

“Staff here are polite, and there are a variety of products. There are also some self-service checkouts. The prices are higher than other places, but it's not too bad if you're only picking up essentials. Parking is available on the street, and there is also a free car park behind the shop.”
