I wanted to add my wife's name to 2 online accounts.I went to CBS in Nottingham to get a form as you cannot do it online. WHY?Returned with form filled in but was told I needed 2 id's. Wasn't told this on my first visit.Returned with form and id's but was told I needed one id from list A and one from list B. Wasn't told this before.Returned for the 4th time with id's. Then told I could not use birth certificate, under 18 only. Wasn't told this before.Why are the staff so incompetent?Visited 4 times, saw 4 different people, all giving me wrong or different information. WHY?Why make things so difficult?You are driving customers away.I shall not be returning.

I cannot believe how painfully slow it was to open up a savings account, in this day and age stuff like this should not be taking this long, it seems like Coventry building society is about a decade behind.

Always great customer service from this branch. Wether it be phoning them direct or going into branch itself. Other providers could a learn a lot from them. Thoroughly recommend them

Called in without an appointment to a) have my Mum's passbook updated and b) register a power of attorney. Passbook sorted & I was prepared to be told that an appointment needed to be booked for registering the POA. Not so in this instance. After a short wait I was seen by Kerry. Fortunately I had all the necessary paperwork & ID she needed, to proceed. Kerry was very efficient, knowledgeable about the process and answered my questions about accessing information online. Altogether a very pleasing & fruitful visit.
