I came here in November with my partner to pick out my anniversary gift. The staff (two younger ladies) were very unhelpful, had nasty attitudes and had very poor customer service skills. When we walked in the store was empty and neither of them greeted us or offered any assistance, we had to approach them.I found a necklace that I liked and wanted to swap the chain for one that was more to my taste which the sales assistant said I could do. After picking out the necklace I wanted and she gave us a price, my partner was ready to pay. The lady then proceeded to tell us that the chain swap could only be authorised by a manager and because a manager was not in that day we would have to buy the necklace as sold + the additional gold chain so now the initial price she quoted just doubled! This made no sense at all but she was adamant that we would have to buy both which we refused to do because she was the one who said we could do a chain swap in the first place and we were not going to be pressured. When we said we would come back another day when a manger was in so I could get what I wanted, she advised that the price might change the next time we came (as the necklace was on sale). She was pressuring us to spend more money that we did not want to spend and gaslighting us into thinking that was how it worked the entire time.She was exceptionally rude, unprofessional and she turned something I was very excited for into a very stressful event. We ended up coming in another day, thankfully the manager was in and able to do the chain swap, the price hadn?t changed. In all honesty we shouldn?t have even come back after the way we were treated but alas I eventually got the necklace I wanted without having to get an additional gold chain, again that made no sense. The staff need to be trained in customer service because it?s absolutely appalling and no way to treat paying customers. Do better H.S Samuel Nottingham.

Worst jewellery ever, Be careful with them; they are selling watches with scratches and marks on them. When you come back to return or exchange them, the manager says they won't be able to return them. The store manager is so rude; she has no idea what customer service means. Her name is Carl, and that kind of person shouldn't work as a manager. Poor customer service and rude staff will never happen again!

This is a good and classy store. There is an impressive collection of bracelets, watches, necklaces, jewelry, and other such items. The location of the store is excellent, as it is in Victoria Centre, basically in the heart of Nottingham City. The prices are reasonable, and from my assessment, the items seem to be of very good quality

Very disappointed in the bracelet I bought and the service I've received, I wish I'd read the reviews before rushing as I thought I was getting a "good deal", the bracelet is very nice to look at but EXTREMELY fragile.The young girl who I dealt with first was very kind and apologetic for the issue I faced and luckily/unluckily I bought the premier care as the bracelet then proceeded to snap twice after being replaced/repaired. The two stars is purely for this girls mannerisms who should be running the store.The two times I came in after that I was served by 2 older females both different each time but was met with the same attitude which felt very unapologetic and almost frustrated with my presence even though I tried to be reasonable, both informing me that this bracelet should only be worn on occasion which wasn't highlighted at the time of purchasing. There appeared to be no sympathy considering every visit required me to pay £5 parking.They gave me a 20% discount which is also available to anyone ordering online so by no means have they attempted to make things right. I was refused a refund for a faulty product which snapped 3 times and felt a sense of superiority being lorded over me.Once again I'd like to thank the younger female for her politeness credit to you and your upbringing as clearly manners can't be taught. The customer service overall has been shocking and I will definitely not be purchasing anything from this store or H Samuel again

I went to the H Samuel store in Nottingham, Victoria Centre today to get an exchange as I received my necklace through the post with knots in and the supervisor was very rude and racist. She acted like I caused the knot in the necklace but in actual fact I didn?t and was very discriminating. I will never buy an item from here again.I am very disappointed and disgusted that she thinks it?s ok to treat a customer in this way. All I wanted was an exchange and I paid a lot of money for that necklace so the least she could?ve done was be respectful and act like a human instead of acting like she can talk to me in this way.I have never experienced this in my life and I will never shop in this store ever again and I will also let my family and friends know about this experience so they never do as well.

This branch is a contender for having the smallest floorspace of any H Samuel but it more than makes up for this by having excellent and helpful staff and a super manager in Carol. It's always a pleasure to shop there.

I went to the Nottingham store to collect my order. I had a proof of purchase , my order number , passport and a confirmation email stating that my order was ready for collection. The store explicitly refused to give me my order. Saying that the confirmation email is not valid and my order has not reached the store. And it will take about 1 week for it to arrive. Bare in mind , she had it in her hands. I had to go on and contact the customer service online. After the contacted the store, miraculously, my order reappeared. I FELT DISCRIMINATED BECAUSE OF MY RACE AND SKIN COLOUR. THEY ALL TREATED ME THAT WAY BECAUSE I?M BLACK AND THOUGHT I?M A THIEF. THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CHOKING !I WON?T RECOMMEND THE NOTTINGHAM STORE TO ANYONE.
