Nice well positioned hotel not the first time we had stayed but this time not worth the money ,charged full price only to find out not hot food available and you still had to pay to park in the hotel carpark .Rooms: Very dated mould in bathroom needed a good clean and dust .furniture passed its best ,hopefully they will get it back to where it should be as a top hotel .

Went for an Xmas meal and abba night. Food was actually pretty good, and the abba band enjoyable too.

Absolutely fabulous. Staff were great. Food was fab. I went for a do there but would definitely be going again for the food, rooms and the high standard of service! Love finding places like this. A true treasure ??

Rooms were single glazed and only radiator working was in the bathroom. No USB points and no where to charge electric toothbrush.Staff are polite and helpful. Food was excellent both as evening meal and breakfast.Be aware of uneven pathway between main hotel and bar area.

Booked a 2 night stay using secret Escapes.Garden room was comfy and spacious and slept well. Lovely big bath although the shower head dripped all night long!Thankfully the tapas menu had been replaced with £20 each per night to spend on the evening menu. The cocktails as promised each night weren?t forthcoming but this was resolved, but it?s a shame the staff aren?t aware of what has been offered in the first place. Service was a little hit and miss with inexperienced staff.Breakfast was a good choice. There is no parking on-site but hotel can help with where to park.Parking on street is fine after 6pm until 10am the next day. Sainsburys near by offer 2 hours free parking.Thame is a lovely market town with lots of places to eat and drink and would probably next time opt for b&b and eat elsewhere in the evening.Rooms: Tea and coffee provided with biscuits. Hairdryer,Fan and heater. Limited toiletries providedWalkability: Right on high streetFood & drinks: No good bitters served. Some beers and wine had run out

Enjoyable stay, in a building which spans the centuries. Great food at Saturday evening dinner. Some modern bedrooms (numbers 32 to 39) in the flat annexe at the back (down part of the side of the carpark).Variable accessibility. Some very poor and uneven floors. Entry to the bar and restaurant across the cobbled walkway has two doors. One doorway with two small steps was open on Sat&Sun 18th/19th Nov2023. The doorway with the ramp was always locked across the weekend. But, if you are fit and hungry, this is a great hotel and we had a brilliant dinner and overmight stay, finishing with an excellent breakfast. The staff are brilliant, food and drink is great. Rooms and facilities and accessibility are (in the front of the hotel) out of date but, in the new rear extension, quite comfortable. November 2023.Rooms: Variable. Older rooms in the main building at the front. Modern rooms 33 to 39 in the rear annexe.Safety: Variable. Plenty of fire exits.Walkability: PoorFood & drinks: Exemplary

We visited for a family get together. We ordered from the lunch menu. We had great communication beforehand as we preordered at there was 12 of us. Food was delicious, all plates were cleared! Location was great in the centre of the town and parking very reasonable in the long stay car park.Definitely recommend.Would definitely recommendFood & drinks: We enjoyed fish and chips, burgers, lasagne, cottage pie, sandwiches and puddings ?
