“Pleasantly suprised. Reception staff very professional which makes refreshing change these days. Parking easy. Room was spacious with everything you needed and a peaceful sleep and relaxing time was had. Breakfast was also good and well organised, with a nice restaurant area. Maybe the only thing was the price. Not so sure it was worth £100 for one night, but nonetheless, everything was very nice. Next time we are in the area, will definitely return”

“We have just been for another lovely meal at the red lion. The new menu is great and me and the family have had another lovely meal here. The staff are really lovely and friendly and Dan is an exceptional landlord. So lucky to live so close to a wonderful ”

“This is a place with an excellent atmosphere, great people and accommodations that had more amenities than most hotels I’ve frequented !! The garden area is very large and a good place to unwind with adequate parking. Add that’s it close to shops and restaurants PLUS a great group of locals that make you feel welcome and you’ve got the best of everything. Try it for yourself”

“Fantastic, excellent bar with lots of drink choice. The staff were great, all so friendly and accommodating nothing with to much trouble. The lovely waitress we had (I think her name was Immy) kept apologising to us about the wait as they had a large table in. She was such a pleasant young lady. However considering that the wait wasn’t too bad at all and the food was certainly worth the wait. Great beer garden. Dog friendly, all round great little gem!”

“We received today the Wessex Oak Ox dining table in Natural oak. It is very good quality and really solid. The delivery personnel who delivered and assembled are from the same company. They were really polite, and careful with the whole assembly process. Very satisfied with the product and the service. Worth the waiting.”

“Lovely clean, Modern and comfortable rooms. Plenty of hot drink options , nice to see hot chocolate sachets as not many places provide these anymore!Nice atmosphere in the pub, lots of selection for drinks and food! The burger and duck chips was absolutely amazing, definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had. Staff are really welcoming and are happy to help with anything. Nice big car park suitable for our van also!Will definitely be back :)”
