1972 I had a proper old school Barbour Trialmaster. Heavy waxed cotton. To wear when riding a BSA motorbike. In the rain and cold and dirt. A good jacket. Now it's all this expensive fashion stuff. What's the world coming to. I blame Thatcher.

Visited on 22/12/22 AM. The lady behind the till totally ignored me when ready to purchase a coat. I mean it was like I wasn?t there! Thankfully, her worker, a younger male colleague ushered me over as things started to feel very uncomfortable and was more welcoming. Seconds later, the lady made another (white) customer feel very welcome and made an obvious point of it. She even reluctantly passed some scissors over to her colleague (making him stretch over unnecessarily) when he asked - I?m only guessing because he was serving me. Even he looked awkward, embarrassed and confused. I woke up this morning deciding to make a formal complaint to Barbour. I?ve never experienced anything like that before and will never go back there. Someone in a customer facing role should never be able to represent the brand in this way.
