I booked a holiday to Mexico through the local coop thinking they would look after us properly. I was mistaken. I asked for their insurance which they happily sold me, we had to cancel due to complications with my wife?s pregnancy and were told before that the insurance would pay. 7 weeks after we claimed we finally got a reply from a completely different company rejecting our claim. It was not coop insurance. We then had a long chat with the Karen in store who was rude and blamed us for the issues. We would have given the holiday to a family member if we had been given the proper advice. I will never use the coop again and will continue to try to scrape back some of what they cost me.

Booked a surprise trip for my partners birthday to which staff in the branch are very polite and helpful. Having had a pandemic and my holiday had to be re arranged. After being made redundant it took me to log a formal complaint before they would even take the time to ask Jet2 if they can fully redund my holiday to which I got told a full refund was offered and revised documents sent out. I never received revised documents and when asking for all data they hold on me under the data protection act they have no proof a full refund was offered. My last email to coop was dated in September with no response. I genuinely feel for business in this time but absalutly 0 empathy was shown towards my circumstances and redundancy so I will show none back. Terrible customer service when I emailed the branch asking if we can find a cheaper deal I got shot one or two word replies and being told repeatedly I will pay an outstanding balance by a certain date despite a full refund never being offered and I kept getting told I will loose my deposit even though I paid for the holiday in cash. I really thought they would. A business should be judged on how they deal with any arising issues and coop travel have done a horrendous job at this. Communication would have been nice from the start ajd understanding apposed to not paying any attention to what I was asking and repeatedly asking me to pay outstanding money or face loosing money when you have just been made redundant due to a world wide pandemic. I truly wish some form of regulation would come into how they operate as the whole process is rubbish. Stick to booking online travel agents especially coop are a waste of money
