I must say this cafe really stood out for me in a good way. It is very clean and tidy and staff are very on top of keeping the cleanliness at top standards. Don't even get me started on the food, the chef... wow she must be amazing, the food was top level. It tasted like Gordan Ramsey cooked it and the prices were very fair. I'm gutted to see them shut they were truly amazing and I will miss H Cafe dearly. Well done olivia! excellent job young lady!

Walked in to H cafe for coffee - I made my order and was met abruptly by a member of staff who walked over and aggressively told me the card machine wasn?t working and they only accepted cash. I asked if I could take the coffee now and bring them the money after. I was met very abruptly with ?you wouldn?t walk to Sainsbury?s and expect the same treatment?. I asked, confused why he had a tone like this and it might be better to speak to customers slightly more professionally and nicely. He then sarcastically told me ?fine we don?t accept cash, asking nicely?. The woman behind the machine then started sniggering and laughing. I won?t return as I?ve not been treated like this in Tesco?s, Sainsbury?s or Pret. Horrendous service and harrods should be ashamed

Definitely not worth the money. I went here expecting to eat food that was of a decent standard and I could not have been more disappointed. The cottage pie was a ready meal by Charlie Bingham and the chicken ceaser pasta salad had chicken in it that must of been old, as it was grey and tasteless. Furthermore, I have become ill after going here. This is not the standard that one would expect from somewhere like Harrods. I never write reviews but I was so upset with this establishment, I felt it was necessary.

Disappointed as no decaffeinated tea. Couldn?t believe Harrods of all places. Served frozen cheesecake. Non engaging staff ?

Popped in mid morning for a coffee with family members, 3 staff on duty, Chatting and on their phones oblivious to customers. Had to go to the counter to request a drinks menu. Then , not sure whether a staff member would take our order, went up to the counter to place our order.

Went for a coffee before a walk, the service was terrible, staff making up excuses, the coffee was luke warm and very mediocre. They had the audacity to charge a service charge. There are far better coffee shops within two minutes, don?t waste your time or money going. We shan?t be going again

I asked for a gluten-free menu & was told that they don?t have one. Asked if they had anything on the menu that would be suitable for someone gluten intolerant. Waitress said she?d ask, came back with a tablet which she explained normally showed a list of all allergens but that their IT chap was in the basement working on an IT issue so the tablet was blank?. I thought that the food was made in house every day so expected someone to know? Ordered just a couple of coffees as couldn?t risk eating anything without knowing what it contained. Only one loo which during these Covid times & in a Harrods cafe I would have expected to be super clean & in excellent order was at best mediocre. Went to pay & the member of staff manning the till was on a mobile, pretty sure it was a personal call. Kept me waiting for ages no eye contact no acknowledgement that I was waiting then when the call had finished no apology for keeping me waiting just ring up the amount payable. Run by youngsters, no idea on customer service. I wouldn?t go there again plenty of other establishments in Henley who are eager to help & please.

I am genuinely amazed at all the negative reviews for this cafe. I came here last week in search of somewhere friendly, light and airy with good wheat-free lunch options and that is exactly what we got. The waitress could not have been more friendly, attentive and delightful and the aubergine parmigiana was utterly delicious. So much so that I bought two more to take home and freeze for ad hoc lunches. My friend had a chicken salad which she said was also very good indeed. Reading the other reviews is like reading about a totally different place; I wonder what has gone wrong?

Unnecessarily rude staff, overpriced food, burnt inedible toast. A disaster of a meal made worse by the lack of apology for poor slow service and cold. food. The staff really don?t care if you enjoy your meal and it shows!

Do head office read these reviews? Staff standing around chatting with dirty floors not swept after last customers. Toilet cleaning rota never ever been completed. Service appalling - microwaved sausage roll (cold inside) served up on the counter then the guy who ?warmed? it and the 2 waiters just stood and stared at it then sulked when asked to bring it to the table. The team need to make the connection between customer satisfaction, revenue and their salary and improve things before head office finally wake up!

Staff very unprofessional as the counter is open staff making fun of what the customer orders while the customer is sitting right in front of them is not a good look. The staff think they are funny and have a laugh but it a place of business not their playgound.

The service from the start to the end was extremely disappointing. Lots of staff but all extremely young, inexperienced and no apparent manager. Took several attempts to get order right, and a long time waiting for things like milk and sugar. Toilet was not clean and not to a standard you would expect of a Harrods cafe. Overall not worth the money or the time.

Bad experience. 2nd oct 2021. Waited to be served ages. Ordered decaff capaccino and coffee black with cream on side. No cream and milk came after asking twice. No sugar on table and waited ages for it to come. No front of house to meet and greet and generally oversee seating, tables cleared and diners needs. 1 waitress run off feet alone. Sour dough bread was so tough uneatable. Table not cleared for ages .Harrods name on this is not doing it any favours.

A light, airy cafe with a spacious feeling. I balked at the prices, but have to say it was the best almond croissant I ever had. Delicious latte too, if a tad small. We found the staff pleasant and friendly, although it took ages to pay! Great location on the market square.
