I am sorry to have been forced to provide this feedback to you but it is required for review and highlight this to future customers. I have just left your Kidlington branch and feel very badly treated by your staff member Rob. I am a completely reasonable, rational person and will tolerate a lot but I don?t feel the customer service was at all acceptable in any way today.I waited patiently for over 15 minutes in the queue today. This is fine and I am always willing to do so. During this time Rob was providing good attention to another customer ahead of me in the queue. He went out to various sections of the store to discuss different items with the customer and then also served them at his checkout desk. I completely accept this service.When my time finally came, I presented a broken fire alarm with all details of name, , references numbers on it. I just wanted to know if Screwfix had this model and if they did I would purchase it. Rob did not bother to look, take the alarm or check on the system. This has been done by other staff many times in the past when I have visited your branch. Instead all I got in return was a rude response of, ? have you not checked our computers online for item??. He was aware I had waited all that time in the queue. This may be an option but bear in mind I had now waited for sometime, patiently, to seek advice and purchase this fire alarm from the store, only to be told go and check online. I did ask again, politely, could he not check it, as I waited in the queue for him, he could do it but wasn?t interested. I, then turned to check that there were at least 4 people behind me now. I would have to then go all the way back in that queue. Did Rob have any care or consideration for this and or my time? This is not what he demonstrated to the earlier customer very clearly from my observation- his time, attention and going out for him. For me there was stark contrast.I decided to leave immediately, unimpressed and and not happy with the experience.I never want to create problems and feel disappointed I have to raise this. However, I must inform you I work hard in public service as a doctor. I do know how people should be treated with curtesy and some respect. I don?t think anyone should be treated the way I have been. There was a stark contrast from the treatment and attention the other customer received directly in comparison to me. This is way I highlight this event in particular. I was not asking much. Please consider the context I have explained this in. I want a review and some answers as to Robs service to me. Finally the service did not even merit 1 star.Yours sincerely,Dinuka
