Museum Cafe’s are always a good choice, Ashmolean did not disappoint. Modern open kitchen had the Curried Cauliflower with mint dollops and glass of wine. Bright sunny day for the terrace, rooftop view. Excellent service.

The Ashmolean’s Rooftop Restaurant sits on top of the world’s oldest museum. Floor to ceiling glass windows open out onto a large terrace – perfect for alfresco drinks and dining when the weather allows – affording terrific views of the picturesque spires of Oxford. Afternoon tea is a speciality, often themed to tie-in with whatever exhibition is showing. Where possible we use locally sourced produce and there’s always choices available for different dietary needs.
