They do have more expensive artisan-y products but if you shop carefully it is no more expensive than average. And generally a nicer experience because it's seldom very busy and well laid out.

Generally okay store that is quite big, however when I tried to return a scratch card that I bought from them they refused my ID even though it is government certified.

Great selection of different groceries, definitely think about buying their local produced bread (especially natural bread company). Also lots of variety in the wine and alcohol aisles! Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble

I was thrilled when I visited this new store for the first time. It's outstanding by any standard and certainly the best Co-op supermarket I've ever been in. The fresh produce is excellent and an unexpected extra is wonderful, locally baked sourdough bread. There's a big pay carpark behind it, but one can usually find an empty slot in the free short-stay park on Elms crescent 100 yards fro the entrance, where there are some interesting small shops, including a cafe.

Low selection of fresh food.
Meat intend to last less then Aldi.
Stock not replaced as frequent as it needs.

Not a great variety of food and dessert choices but if in a pinch to get a quick something a great little store. Area around it leaves much to be desired. Glad there's redevelopment plans for the area.
