Place is spacious and staff out numbered customers, I wanted to open an ISA, however they didn't seem interested in my business. Told me I could open the account online, however the account isn't available online. Since opened elsewhere, online, in seconds, I may lose out on 0.03% interest, but it's a price worth paying.

The service is by far the best of the UK high street banks I have tried so far. After visiting Lloyds, Santander, and HSBC yesterday and bad to terrible service there, I came here. University students can only get a cash account, which comes with some downsides for international students, but apart from that one can't complain about anything.

Came in to collect a card after moving an account, leaving Nationwide after 18 years. The initial woman behind the counter was not particularly very welcoming but Darrell was much more amenable. Initial impressions good and I love the old picture of Cornmarket Street!

Absolutely disgusting service. A girl called Dannii seemed more interested in eyeing my boyfriend up than anything else! Heard great things about Metro but totally put off and will be taking this further!

Very good customer service. I was setting up a new account in this branch. I had to wait for around 20 minutes during which members of staff approached me and apologied for the waiting time. I was sitted in a comfortable chair so I could work during the wait. I was then invited by an employee to their table and we started the process. I was advised about all the account details, all my questions (many) were answered and we also had a very friendly conversation. I was also offered a coffee which was good. I left the bank with a new bank account and a card in my hand.

My husband initially met the manger for the Oxford branch to open an account who was very helpful at the start. Being a new resident but with the legal right to live and work in the UK, my husband didn't have a council bill as a proof of residence. Just a letter from my daughter stating that we were staying with her until a rental agreement was signed. I am a British passport holder. This manager simply ignored all follow up emails and phone calls after emailing my husband asking for a day/time to discuss the options. We'll take our rather sizeable investment elsewhere. A VERY poor attitude without the courtesy of a reply.

Customer service was great and they seemed friendly. Couldn't help with opening an account though, they shockingly use an outdated system and couldn't find my address.....
