If you're an international student don't open your account at Santander unless you have all the time and pacience in the world.Debit card was supposed to arrive in 5 working days and it took more than 2 weeks to arrive and by then I've already canceled it to receive a new one.. since other letters arrived before. Also can't access online banking.While on Lloyds I opened my account on the same day I applied and got my online banking access that same day.. just waiting for the card now...

Doesn't have an external cash machine for depositing cheques.Only open at times I can't make it. Should be open longer hours on weekends

The staff have no clue what processes to follow, had to go in three times to get one task completed. They are just good at talking. Waste a customers time if you have to go in three times when the same task in another bank takes a few minutes to be done. Very disappointed, the staff don't care to ring to inform the customer if they have missed some requirement for there bank which they should know very well. Absolutely waste of time, with a busy can't afford to keep going in just because they didn't know steps in their processes.

Pro: friendly and helpful service.
