I went to get my eyes tested at Vision Express because I have had a great experience with Vision Express at another branch. I moved to Oxford recently and thought I was due an eye test and of course, I chose Vision Express. However, this branch/store was very disappointing. The staffs were just chatting with each other and was cold and indifferent to customers that come through the door. The optometrist was fine, also indifferent, but they did their job. The issue I had was with communication. When I had eye tests in the past, optometrists would take the time to explain the prescription to me and what that means for my vision, but there was none of that this time. Even though the store was practically empty, I get the feeling that they cannot wait to get you out the door. Then the shop assistants (or whatever their job titles are) simply did not seem to be too interested in their customers. I really would not recommend this branch. I am not saying Vision Express is bad, I am saying this particular Vision Express branch is terrible.

The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly.Alicia and Davide were amazing in the store, while Tony the opton gave me the best prescription I've had in years, finding a couple of little tweaks that no-one has found before.Pair that with a buy one, 2nd pair half price deal and they can't be beat on service or on price.Thank you for your great service and advice as clear and sharp as my new prescription!

I had a really good check up. I found the optometrist Hadi. That checked my eyes actually gave me information that the other optometrist fail to tell me when I was last in. Witch was at the beginning of the year. She was so lovely the nicest experience I've had so far. I feel this specsavers will want to hold on to her as she's really great ?? and the young lady that help me pick out my glasses was lovely to. I do feel there team now is the best they have had so far with my experience hear. Great saturday team

After moving from Specksavers and Boots optician and now at Vision express.For years, I met the best optometrists here at Oxford Circus and also some of the bad ones who are no longer around too.I had my test here on the first week of March 23 and the optometrist that was assigned to me was Umar And Afghani who is very professional and with a very calm character and demeanour.He tested and explained to me very well my eye condition and even prepared a letter for my GP in which my eye condition is subject for a regular check up.Then after this I was advised by the person in the reception downstairs to go up and wait there for my new eyeglass and sat there, the problem, any staff who are there to assist to help and explain what are the type of glass, the cost, the lenses etc but based on my experienced they are all not well trained and some of them were just move from one branch to another, it looks like it's really hard to find some competent and reliable staff nowadays.anyway the person who assisted me is Aminah but she never explain nor discuss anything about what are on offer and the cost, i just told her that I have these 2 eyeglasses which I need for single vision (near) as my distance is still ok, she never say anything about the cost and just totalled it on how much I need to pay, she even said I can go back after a week so to collect my eyeglass which I told her I need it today and don't mind the cost which she did not give me an option or check if the lenses are available..Any customer service staff should explain and discuss it properly to their customers what they can avail regardless of what they can afford or not.

Absolutely disgusted by the treatment received here. Extremely rude, unhelpful and charged for things they shouldnt have. Especially shocked by the behaviour of one of the ladys that attended to me that was brunette with shoulder length hair in her 30s. I am never coming here again and I wouldnt recommend for anyone else to either.

Booked separate contact lens and eye tests, not realising there was a combined option. The optician was running so late that I had to cancel the second of these two appointments. There were no apologies from any staff, who implied that my having to reschedule my second appointment was my fault for not 'block booking', despite the fact that my first appointment was 20 minutes late through no fault of my own. Staff on the shop floor were pleasant, but the optician was rude, abrupt, defensive and made no apology at all for running so late.

The most unprofessional service at vision express at Oxford street,LONDON.FIRST They book me in for the WRONG appointment, when I came they said there is no chance for me to do the eye test cause I booked for lens appointment , and sent me back .. I insist they have to see me as it is they fault not mine..so they force me to stay wait another 2 hrs saying every 15 minutes someone will going to see me and do the eye test.After 2 hrs elizabeth ? arrogant, rude and aggressively informing me that?s there is no chance .. everyone left ,they are too busy .. so I need to come back again!?? why?to waist another 3 hrs probably and left without nothing?The machines are dirty , People at the queue waiting for around 1-2 hrs even if they had appointments booked in advance.Stuff is unprofessional, lazy and arrogant. I was their client for 3 years and I had enough it is not the first time I have issues. First they did the wrong lens to my glasses. very often they don?t have lens in stock..Not welcoming atmosphere , it is hot and smelly inside the building ,not even tab water inside, dirty sticky sits , just disgusting place .If you want to have a good service, and professional people - that?s not the place for it . HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED place = changing it to get my lenses and glasses!

After walking out of Boots opticians, because of high handed and dismissive service, I decided to try Vision Express in Queen Street. The contrast was amazing. Aleah Dalton was attentive, polite, and nothing was too much trouble. Walked out after 10 minutes a very happy customer. Boots - you have a lot to learn. Thank you Aleah for making my afternoon.
