Visited today. We was absolutely disgusted with the cafe. Purchased a kids meal for my 2 year old. Bread was stale. Cheese was rock hard. They could not even be bothered to butter the roll. My other 2 daughters wanted a bacon rolls. But was told cut off was 11. Not signs stating this that I could see. Other items outs of stock. The lady on the till was rude. Won?t be back.

Who knew that in a garden centre, a really high standard of food can be offered? Lovely outside area surrounded by the plants. Really nice and helpful serving ladies. Salade nicoise, fresh cut of tuna, not a tin in sight. Well done everyone.

Would be nice to see somewhere in the webpage if you can take your dog around the whole complex - rather than just outside- or and outside table to eat! Other garden centre advertise that you are allowed to take well behaved dogs around the departments inside as well!

Called in here for a spot of lunch and a look around. Will not be back. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable so we decided to have a baguette which were on display at the counter. However, I waited ages and none of the staff turned round to offer to help or ask what I wanted. While I was waiting I realised that there were flies crawling about on the baguettes so we decided to have cake instead which was covered. This took ages to arrive at our table and meanwhile someone else's order was delivered to us and by the time it was sorted out their food was cold and they had no apology for the mix up. The cake duly came but the coffee was lukewarm and the cake a bit dry. Expensive for what it was and not worth the wait. Staff were disinterested and lacking in basic customer service. Not good.

I?ve always loved visiting the garden centre and have purchased a lot of plants and equipment from there. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Only downside is the price of the food now as it used to be reasonable. We used to go for tea and cakes but find the prices too high and therefore not worth going for this.

Visited the garden centre today with my daughter as we were looking for a special birthday present for a family member. There was so much to look at that before we knew where the time had gone, our idea of morning coffee had turned into lunch, so we ventured to the cafe. It was busy but tables were well spaced and as we waited to be seated having checked in, we saw food being delivered to other guests and it all looked tasty and well presented. Drinks came quickly and our order of Salad Nicoise and baked potato with tuna and spring onion mayonnaise came after about 15 minutes. The tuna steak on my daughter's Salad Nicoise was perfectly cooked and the boiled eggs were perfect too. She enjoyed it tremendously. My baked potato with tuna and spring onion mayo was very tasty too and the dressing on the generous portion of mixed leaf salad was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our meal so much that we are going back again next week purely for lunch. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and I liked the way that they were caring and helpful to some older people there who had mobility issues. Well done Yarnton Home and Garden. Thank you for a really good time. By the way - I love the plates that you serve the food on. I'll have a look out for them next time we're in the garden centre!

Visited yesterday afternoon. If you just want tea and a little stingy bit of cake then this is the place to go; we won't be visiting gain. It was awful. My partner does not eat cake and all he wanted was something savoury. We were told that it was only tea and cake available. When we went to choose our cake we noticed there was a disgusting tuna baguette which had been made in the morning and was festering in the chiller compartment. The tuna was beginning to turn colour and not at all appetising. The staff hardly understood English and when I asked for a pot of hot water to fill up our teapot which, although we asked for tea for three, we only got 4.5 cups out of it, the girl behind the counter tried to fill up a small milk jug with hot water. I suggest that a good understanding of the English language would be advisable when serving the public!

I came today for breakfast with my parents and had a lovely meal. There was a bit of a mix up with our order which was my fault but it was sorted out really quickly and in a very pleasant manner. I can recommend the breakfast bap it was delicious. I have visited many times and have always enjoyed the food and the service is always very friendly. Would recommend.

We have been going to this centre for a number of years now and always gone into the restaurant to eat, however, after our last visit since reopening we found it to be overpriced. The slice of cake my wife had was very small and vastly overpriced at £4.40, small coffees and I had a baguette which it felt as though the lettuce had not been washed as was very gritty. All in all a big let down.

I would not recommend eating at the restaurant here. Enormous portions with no finesse. My hamburger was so hard and chewy and it tasted like cardboard! Very dry and overcooked chips. A very disappointing lunch!

I tend only to come for seed potatoes in the spring which can be bought loose, useful if you want just a few of different varieties. Good selection of garden basics but the houseplants and garden plants are seriously overpriced.

Wonderful garden centre, staff are really helpful, lots to see. They have all their Christmas decorations out and Santa is due to arrive on Sat 22nd Nov, they are also doing a supper with Santa in December for the Kids. Well worth a visit
