Just terrible. I ordered online as it seemed like it would be easier getting a lot of things I wanted from the sane place as they do have a lot of stock. I ordered 23 comics. The two most expensive ones arrived with ripped covers and stickers on the back. another 8 had stickers on. I've lost out on over £50 buying from this place.

If your looking for an archive of comics, this is the place to go. Though out of the way a little, don't be fooled by the small shop you see through the window. Once you go in, and leave your bags in the closet, you are permitted to dive into the basement where there is shelf upon shelf and box upon box of past comics that have came and went.If you've got no strength bring a brwny friend as these boxes are heavy af. However its worth it for the goodies inside ?

I found the shop while browsing the internet for the last book that was missing from my collection. Mike was really helpful and mailed me the book, and also provided me with the tracking number so I could check the status of the parcel! I highly recommend this store, and next time I ll be in Scotland I will surely visit Asylum to purchase something in person! Thank you Mike!

Small shop with loads of comics and a small board game collection

The shop is filthy, messy, looks as if it has not been cleaned in years.The stock is haphazardly lying allover the shop.Some of the stock is caked with layers of dust.The area behind the counter looks like it's decades of dirt.The carpet has to be seen to be believed and there was doc feaces and urine on the floor.We were invited to go down to the basement to see over "150,000 comics" but it felt creepy, unsafe, and also the smell did not entice us.We raised this with the owner (who was absolutley filthy himself) "the regulars don't mind" was the response. We walked out in disgust at the state of the shop and also the owners attitude.We would strongly recommend that you avoid this shop at all costs. There is nothing here to appeal to customers.In an age where small shops need customers more than ever, Asylum Books and Games seems not to care about thier customers, nor do they meet basic hygiene standards.A horrible, grotty and vile establishment which deserves to be closed for the condition it is in.Aberdeen can do MUCH better.

I ordered a graphic novel but never received it. I emailed 3 times trying to see if it had been posted, never got a reply. Had to report problem to Paypal to get my money back. Bad experience.

Totally loved it. I came quite late and owner didn't mind me staying longer, so I could search for comics that I had on my list. Great choice and good prices. Will come back there 100%.

I prefer not leaving negative reviews, as I believe experiences can be heavily influenced by uncontrollable circumstances. However, this review is more so as a warranted warning to any potential online buyers.The first issue I had was with communication. Two emails were sent, one a week after the purchase and the other two weeks after the purchase date. I received no response. I did get a refund on one of the items, the only one I really cared to get, but it was not communicated why; out of stock, website error, nothing. But, OK, at that point my expectations were lowered entirely.The books that did arrive were not labeled with a grade/condition on the website, so I can?t really fault them for the condition they arrived in. They are all subpar, in any case. The package, as a whole, arrived in one piece but it left a lot to be desired.The cherry on top was opening each of the three books and discovering stickers on the back cover of each one. I?d wonder if their entire stock is maintained this way. Just a completely unpleasant experience, but you roll the dice when buying comics online. Again, I hate posting a review like this but I wish I would?ve been warned before ordering from Asylum.

Amazing selection, left to browse as long as I needed. Will be back once next overtime comes and I?ve finished the books.
One of those shops you see a small window front then it expands inside almost Tardis-like.
Books, mugs, games etc. too much to choose from.
