Contrary to the views of Tillydrone Magazine, McColls doesn't encourage me to shop local. And it's nothing to do with the people who work there. The staff are always very polite and are very helpful and are under a lot of pressure to make high sales. Appears franchise model puts too much pressure on the staff - took over two weeks to fix main fridge. What puts me off is the lack of appreciation, that the store is located in one of the lowest income areas of Aberdeen. So it's unacceptable to see 69p for 1 pint of milk and majority of the bread over £1. Fruit range is too low to be of use to me or flat mates.Considering the size of the plot , it really needs expanding so there is a full sized vegetable and fruit element to give people more affordable and more healthier diet options other than stacks of walkers crisps or rows of condiments.

Formally the Co-op. Since the rebrand I feel choice has deteriorated whilst prices have gone up.
