Fun place worth a visit when on The Great Glenn Way. Nice people who live there and the food is very good.

A quirky, wonderful and delicious cafe. I really enjoyed talking to them and the food was perfect for a chilly March lunch; comforting, tasty and set me up for the afternoon of walking ahead. £20 and you get a feast - I don?t think you can go wrong. A genuine highlight of my day.

Stopped on a bike journey for just a coffee but ended up having lunch here. Two very kind and welcoming owners who are super interesting when you get to know them. They run an interesting 'cafe' in slightly quirky eco woodland. It's expensive, but we had two meals, two 'sides', two drinks, and some snacks for about £40.

They do not state their prices anywhere, they brought a cafetière of coffee out when we didn?t ask for it and tried to charge £10 for it, £10 for soup and £10 for cake. The owner became very aggressive when questioned about this. Effectively mugging tired tourists walking the Great Glen Way and unsuspecting locals. Reading other reviews, other people had the same experience. Would not recommend in the slightest, they should not be in business, awful.

Worth noting that this site has a "needs improvement" rating on the hygiene standards agency (easy to search). Felt pressured into buying an entire lunch - having a coffee by itself wasn't an option. No prices posted anywhere. Sanitation facilities shocking. The food was tasty, and the portions were large. Never felt unsafe as was in a group of four men. The bill was £20 each when it came - which is what you'd expect to pay in an Alpine hut far removed from alternative options, as this is sort of the Scottish equivalent of. However, if you are at all vulnerable and/or on a tight budget, do not come here. What every other review writes is true, and I can imagine myself feeling unsafe if in different circumstances, or very upset about the cost if I was on a budget. The business and hygiene practices here leave much to be desired.

Owners are a little quirky to say the least but the lemon cake was phenomenal! Just off the Great Gen Way. There's no menu but from my experience and looking at the other reviews, it seems whatever you order, it'll be £10 per person. The less things you ask for the more of each item you will get. They take cash and cards.

If you are hiking the Great Glen Way, this is a compulsory stop..amazingly friendly and hospitable couple plied us with a delicious homemade meal of coffee, cake, soup, crackers and cheese, fruit and veg and more. This is more than a cafe, it?s an experience, and was one of the highlights of our first day on the hike. Also a great place to meet other hikers as their campground had filled up quickly with friendly bunch. Recommend recommend recommend and thank you Sandra!!

This was my 2nd time here. Last time was 2012 when my friend and I walked the GGW. We had such a welcome the first time from Sandra and Howie I was looking forward to visiting again and it didn't disappoint. Quirky, great cake and a warm welcome again from Sandra.

We walked all day in the pouring rain and we're enticed by the welcoming signs. What a disappointment. Nowhere to sit out of the rain, and we got turned away because we only wanted tea and cake. If we weren't going to buy a full lunch we weren't welcome. Not like there was anyone else there whose seats we would take. Don't bother.

Came across this place cycling the Badger Divide. Was very grateful to arrive after a long day but a dismayed that it was so "off-grid" there was no water. £10 bought me a place to camp and a 2 litre bottle of Tesco's water. I would have settled for rain water for a wash - don't they collect any?? I am no stranger to composting toilets but this was all a bit weird - full length mirror! Overall it was not worth my £10 when i could have just gone and camped at the loch for nowt and had a much needed wash! Happy to support the local economy but this takes the biscuit. Speaking of which, by the sounds of the prices, it is a good job i didn't as I only had a tenner on me!

You are basically wild camping which you can legally do for free. Theres something off with the owners.... creepy as. Get nasty quick if your not doing what they want. The toilet was the best bit..... make of that what you will

Stopped here for lunch on the last leg of our bike trip on the GGW going south to north. The hosts were so sweet and the lunch was delicious. It was a welcome pit stop and we knew what the cost would be and it was worth every penny. Quaint and quirky.
