What a great Post Office! The staff are absolutely lovely, going above and beyond to be helpful and welcoming. My experience there today was truly uplifting. ?

The new Post Office that opened in late 2023 in Alness Newsagents is excellent. Service is polite, friendly and helpful. Reliable opening times. It's great to have a proper Post Office back in Alness.

It is rude, unhelpful and highly non professional people (i would not call a staff), and there are like this for a long time, i wonder what is there Area Manager is upto, if you said to them you were closed they will say to you go to invergordon post office if we closed. what a joke. now they are moving to a new location, i wonder if the have the same staff. i went there cause i was working at the invergordon port, the whole port was fed up with this office, they were calling it a RUDE OFFICE. GOD HELPS them.

Positively awful. Rude, sarcastic, close whenever they feel like. Nothing more infuriating than traveling all the way down there with parcels to find notice on door to say ?shut today, sorry?. Do not know their job half the time and really unhelpful. Refuse to use it now. One star is one star too many.

If I could give zero stars I would. Called 6 times during stated opening hours. No one answered the phone.

It really depends who is behind the counter, some ladies are very nice and helpful, however there is one who is rude and makes you feel unwelcome. For this reason my partner even refuses to go to this branch and rather drives to Dingwall PO!!

the younger women in the right side of post office was rude with the way she speaks to the O.A.P and clear no customer care skills no thankyou or please just orders

Depends who is serving but I have found this post office to be Rude. A bad attitude, like people who don't enjoy their job with a chip on their shoulder. slightly abrasive and unessisarily sarcastic. Generally try to avoid them and go to Invergordon if I can help it. Others may have had better experiences.

Alness post office is situated right smack bang in the middle of the high street. The shop itself is a fair size, and has the tellers at the back of the shop as well as a shop assistant at the front to deal with bits and pieces that are bought in the shop. There is rows and rows of occassion cards, as well as stationary, packaging materials, toys and gifts. they at times have some really beautiful ornaments in store, which are really good value for money. The staff are always very polite and friendly and willing to help with anything. the layout of the shop makes it easy for customers to queue to be dealt with with the tellers. Tellers usually deal with each customers query quickly and efficiently. A good security and safety measure is that they are behind safety glass, i'm always one for the safety of staff, especially in establishments where a lot of money is being used. This post office is a sub post office but you would really think it was a main one. The size is fantastic, staff are magic and there is always cheerful banter exchanged between customer and teller. Couldn't ask for anything better.
