Weird ol shop.I actually got shouted at by the manager for taking too long looking through the cd's.Getting accused of selling them on?Even if I was, I can do whatever I want with my purchases. Put me off going back. Also their prices are shooting up on media and clothing, cd's are going for £2 each sometimes and games a fiver and all.Again, just a weird shop with a bad atmosphere.

Worst shop in town. I went to Cancer Research, Bellshill on 27th of November and took the photo of a hat. There were two more customers on the other side of shop .In a blink of an eye the shop assistant stormed infront of me and started yelling that I was not allowed to take any photos in the shop. I politely apologised and said I was not aware of the said rule in place. She ranted again "No, you are not allowed". I said It was all right I would delete the photo. I in utter embarrassment looked over my shoulder and the other two customers were mortified too. I hung my head in shame and walked out of the shop. I wanted the earth to open and swallow me, I was shaking with embarrassment. After an hour of composing myself I gathered some courage and went back to shop to have a word with the manager about the said rule. If the rule of not taking of photos were in place then why it was not mentioned on any notice board or placard in the store.I went back and met the intimidating manager. I told her it could have been said politely. She instead of apologising started arguing that the rule is placed by the government not her and she was the one who told the shop assistant to stop me. I asked what was the govt rule? She replied " data protection". I asked how the photo of hat could infringed the data protection law when no body was wearing it? I requested her to look at the photo which she declined by saying didn't want to see my personal photos. She further added if I had to take the photo then I had to take her permission prior to that?I wanted to ask why I was treated differently??

Rude manager, you would think they would be nice people working for a charity but nope. Treat your customers with respect.

Absolute scenes in here today! A customer was shouted down by a member of staff for taking a photo in store of a hat (for what I assume was for a picky friend or perhaps they just wanted an opinion on the hat? )The snotty shop assistant told them they weren't allowed to take photos in store.Since when was this a policy?I do it all the time to get my friends opinion on something I'm thinking of buying!Really wish I had stepped up at the time and said something. The manager should consider putting staff through a customer service course.I won't be shopping or dare to browse here ever again for fear of getting my head bitten off by angry, unprofessional staff! There are plenty of other ways to support Cancer research, I've just discovered you can shop online for somethings and I would rather do that than be verbally abused by anyone!I hope the customer was OK and not to bothered by the occurrence as it was quite harsh. It's not as if they were stealing or up to no good. It just all seemed totally uncalled for and unexpected in a charity shop. This doesn't happen in my local branch!I will be complaining to head office!

Abysmal customer service - it?s non-existent. I will not shop here again.Staff are some of the rudest I have ever come across. I visited yesterday with my mother and was appalled by how I was spoken to and treated.Staff were not observing Covid 19 social distancing. On numerous occasions one unfriendly woman was practically brushing my arm while hanging clothes items on the rail, right next to where I was browsing. No polite ?excuse me? - she just pushed her way in. I was made to feel unwelcome.Definitely not the sort of experience you expect from a charity shop.I found the staff to be extremely common, lacking any sort of basic customer service ability, and stomping around the shop with which at I can only describe as a chip on their shoulder. The shops back sorting room door was open and you could see staff laughing, joking, and hear them discussing things that were not appropriate. This included the manager of the shop - a woman whose name begins with the letter K (I will not provide it in full here as I will be following my experience up further with their head office and area manager).Disgraceful service. Give you donations and custom to a shop that deserves it.

Horrendous customer service. Have seen them speak to people (and myself) so rudely. When you think of a CHARITY shop, you think of kindness and the staff couldn't be further from kind
