My husband and my daughter we stayed here for my husbands work! And what can I say, the staff are absolutely lovely and amazing and they remembered us from the first time we stayed! The room we stayed in both times we loved! Only slight issue was the shower but got sorted! Couldn?t fault them! Breakfast was amazing love the food here ? I can?t wait to stay here again!

Private function last week. Service was very good. Food a little dissapointing steak pie only 4 pieces of beef in pie. Function room cold as was breakfast / dining room. No heating at breakfast. Breakfast itself wasn't very warm.Rooms: Room was pleasant enough had a good night's sleep. Room perhaps a little tiredFood & drinks: Food a little dissapointing. (Dinner) Breakfast look warm. Plenty of choice In alcohol.
Highly recommend for great wkends or long stay away , fantastic location beautiful views ,Rooms: Spotless,With or without bath ,showers ..Nearby activities: Edinburgh ,st Andrews,Burntisland in the summer with the fair ground , swimming pool , lovely walks !Safety: Felt totally safeWalkability: Lots of lovely walks along the coastline beautiful view'sFood & drinks: Plenty of good food n drinks

Went for first time for a family dinner last week. We ordered fish and chips and streak pies with some millionaires desserts after. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, offering things just as we needed them but before we had to ask. Food was delicious and plentiful and reasonably priced. It was a little chilly in the restaurant but perhaps because we were there at the beginning of evening service. Look forward to returning.

Just attended the 2023 Hogmany Party and here's a honest review.Function room was nice and well decorated. Meal was fine. Staff were really good.Only thing was the DJ. Didn't really read the room. When the dance floor is empty, change the genre, but he didn't. At the bells, he just told everybody to go outside and look over the Forth at the Edinburgh fireworks. He should have kept everybody inside and done a countdown, forget Edinburgh.Stay locally, so didn't book a room.As I say, staff were great and put a great deal of effort in to make a good night for everybody. Might want to change the DJ though. Happy New Year.

We went for Christmas lunch and it was superb, the young serving staff were so attentive and cant help recommend the food highly enough.

Booked for lunch. Been here many times for good, reasonably priced , traditional food. Has changed hands and now tries to combine Indian cuisine with Scottish fare. It doesn't work. Lacks its originality and warm reception.

Always have a lovely meal in a very pleasant dining room. I have amended the rating on this hotel. Now, under new ownership, some minor catering errors were witnessed. I will contact the hotel directly to alert them of what I experienced.
