OMG, can't rate Pitlessie Inn highly enough. Lovely staff, welcoming and smiles. Absolutely amazing room, lovely coffee machine, view and the bathroom, with double shower, a real treat and fab toiletries. Lovely nights sleep. Super quiet and cosy. Came down for dinner and the bar was bustling with locals having dinner, fabulous atmosphere and lovely ambience. Prawn skewers to start with and Mushroom were yummy, but the star for means was the Venison stew. Absolutely delicious and tender. Highly Recommend a stay here and we will be back. Lovely staff who couldn't have been more helpful. We had a 6 30am start next morning, so they supplied a breakfast basket and mini fridge with milk, orange juice and yogurts, fruit, croissants and cereals. Just perfect.

So this isn?t our first visit to this little oasis, but the time is right to share how wonderful it is. So this review is written after our 7th stay. It?s a small independently run inn. 3 rooms, all great, good staff, great owner and stunning food. Atmosphere in the bar is friendly and jovial (under used word in my opinion). Short drive from St Andrews and a good base for all local attractions. It?s a good honest establishment. Rooms are so beautifully put together and spotlessly clean. A bit of a gem. Great value for money in this area.

Our 1st visit and will definitely look to return. Very comfortable rooms and quiet you wouldn?t have thought you was above the pub/restaurant. Worth booking if you want to eat as it appears to be very popular but great food at very good prices. From the hotel you can easily get the bus to Dundee, St Andrew?s as well as Glasgow & Edinburgh airports. We took a train from nearby Ladybank station for our trip to Edinburgh but worth speaking to the owner as she could also arrange transportation (we?d already booked our tickets before we knew!) Fantastic breakfasts with really friendly owners and staff we?ll definitely look to return.

Smashing wee pub with a good pint and friendly staff

We were looking for a base for weekend while partner does course in Ladybank and I spend the days doing some cycle exploring in Fife. Pitlessie was chosen as closest and I had expected a fairly standard pub with rooms, but what we got was an excellent pub, with very good food, and a really lovely almost boutique style room. Service was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were high quality and huge. Will definitely be back.

Visited today for the first time. Great location and everything was first class from the warm welcome from the staff, lovely warm atmosphere and excellent food. Everything we had to eat was top notch, and from what we saw being served to other diners it looked like everything else was of the same high standard. Will definitely be back again.

We stayed here recently and really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very nice location, and we had nice views out of our window. The facilities in the room were decent enough and couldn't be faulted. The bathroom facilities were excellent, and the shower was nice and easy to work.

We came to Scotland to visit family and we couldn?t be happier with how the Village Inn treated us. They give us a very warm welcome and throughout our stay, they made sure that everything was perfectly fine. We are visiting again over the New Year and are wanting to stay at the Village Inn again. Thank you for a perfect stay.

I've just come back from a 2 night stay at the Pitlessie Inn, staying on my own so I could visit near by friends. It was such a treat. I loved my room, the breakfast, the pub itself and the setting. I went for a beautiful run both mornings- one up in the hills with a stunning view across the plain and one off road and through the grounds of a ruined priory. The owners were so welcoming and gave me running route ideas. I hope to come back with my family.

Our visit to this amazing pub was extremely enjoyable! Plenty of parking available! Lovely varied menu, friendly staff, great place to eat, nice atmosphere, generous portions and food promptly delivered! Only negative was the disabled toilet - which smelt terrible!

One of our favourite places to eat and again not disappointed. Delicious food , well looked after, lovely surroundings and the best staff ever . Highly recommend popping in here for food ....never disdapointed. And stunning views of the Lomonds too from the car park . Fantastic as always .
