Awful. The pharmacist told me a load of absolutely rubbish about not being allowed to sell a certain medication. I?ve got a chronic condition that?s the result of cancer treatment and surgery so I?ve been managing this with my care team for 12 years and KNOW that the information she was giving is blatantly false. When I said I?d never heard another pharmacist ever mention this despite discussing the details of my other medication and treatment with them, she became very rude (or ruder) and aggressive and said every other pharmacist was just out to make money. When I pointed out that I?d also discussed my taking these pills in emergencies if I ran out of my pain prescription and at least three GPs that I recall also said it was fine, she said my doctors didn?t know what they were talking about. I left the place in tears and immediately told honed my surgery in Glasgow, who are excellent. They put me through to my GP and I related what had happened. He confirmed that she?d been talking rubbish. My practice is actually a teaching practice for the University of Glasgow and the GPs there instruct and mentor medical students as well as seeing their regular patients and those people literally saved my life. So sorry, but I think I?m more inclined to believe what they tell me than an arrogant, ill-mannered pharmacist who at the very least needs more training in how to deal with members of the public. I got the impression that because I am slightly autistic and so my body language and eye contact can be slightly atypical that I was a substance abuser (she certainly implied this more than once), but even supposing that were the case, in this day and age it?s hardly appropriate for a health care ?professional? to take that sort of sneering tone and aggressive attitude. But I?d strongly advise anyone thinking of going to this pharmacy to turn around and go elsewhere, and that?s from a middle aged cancer survivor with a bad back and hip, so I have a LOT of experience with chemists. First time I ever set foot in there (I am over here caring for an elderly relative and investigating the possibility of moving) and it will be the last. If I could give minus stars, that would be a more accurate reflection of my opinion.
