Opening 9.30 to 4.30 is about as helpful as a kick to the knackers.Went to pay a cheque in at 4.35 and of course 'closed' - providing a 'service' whilst everyone else is otherwise engaged in earning the funds to deposit in said institutions bank account, is beyond 'idiotic' - service industries need to be available outside (or at least in line with) working hours.Whilst standing at the machine outside the branch and using the automated cheque paying in process, 4 more people tried to enter the branch, you know, because it was fair to assume you'd be open.Cashiers be working from home soon

Arrived at 10:30 and needed to discuss changing one of my direct debits and a few other things. Waited at the front of the teller queue for 25 minutes. Nobody in office even asked me if they could assist. Had to leave eventually due to a prior engagement. Very poor service.

So after watching Martin Lewis myself and my husband decided to change all our accounts to nationwide. The process started well, we went into branch with id etc to be told we would receive cards the following week. A week or 2 passes my husband called we asked to wait another week so we did. Another call staff member was no help so booked an appointment for today. My husband attended the appointment and it consisted of all the things they couldn't do!!! Clearly our business is not required

I recently opened account with the nationwide in cupar the staff there are amazing, went to Dundee on Monday opened another account the staff in Dundee branch are so helpful in 5ms when I was there they explained everything and sat me down I was happy with service I received the staff in that branch is excellent so happy with service.

I visited the Dundee branch this morning for the first time since February, infact Dundee itself since February due to the fact I was a person who had to shield. I was so disappointed with the service. The assistant took me to a roomed area but I had to stand outside which was screened and I can't stand for long and no seat offered. I agree on social distancing and safety to staff and customers but what upset me was the lady who was dealing with me in a raised voice told me the amount I had in my account which the customer standing the other side of the screen heard. I know it is difficult times for everyone but I expected more confidentiality than I got. What I couldn't understand was why the desk and computer was at least two metres away from the screen I was talking through and the assistant had to raise her voice to be heard.. I know the safety of everyone is priority but the room available would have easily taken two people with social distancing. I just found my visit very stressful and no confidentially at all. I was very stressed when I came out. Will be a long time before I visit again

After a really bad experience with my old bank who id been with for nearly 20 years. After recommendations from Martin Lewis i went to Nationwide. I wasnt disappointed. By far the best service and staff ive ever been fortunate enough to come across. Clued up, compassionate, helpful, fantastic personal touch i would recommend them to anyone. Even more of a bonus , ethical banking in this day and age.Please if your thinking of switching, go here. You will not be disappointed.They make a mean cup of tea too.?
