I will never be back at SCS, after two so called automated text giving us a delivery date ,we received our order on the third date after telling scs we are cancelling our order ,4 months it took to get our order , I must say the delivery men were great

Good range of sofas in various materials, styles and colours.Spoke with several members of staff all of whom where knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and took the time to listen about our wants and needs & made suitable recommendations.Store was also clean & tidy.Would recommend a visit by anyone currently looking for or considering a new sofa.

Worst delivery of furniture in my life, salesman lied to us, about delivery and failed to explain I must pay extra for assemble of furniture. Every box damaged. Delivery times are too tight if you work.Salesman held hand over terms and conditions and asked to sign and we will receive T & C on email. This we did but if we cancel deposit is lost.Call centre fails to respond to calls within 35 minutes. When answering they are unhelpful. Refer you to shop who refers you to call centre.Never again.Worst furniture company I have ever encountered in Dundee. Back To Gillies In Broughty Ferry

Please please don't buy here. We have had a terrible experience and don't want others to. We bought a dining table and carpets (plus vinyl) for the whole of the upstairs of our new home. Firstly, price increased £300 from the initial quote, which was disappointing but we understood. It's still a big jump in price though. Then, dining table arrived damaged. 3 of the 4 chairs were damaged and the table legs also. Reported this initially and offered replacement parts for the damaged ones. Advised these parts were dispatched and even had a call asking if we had received them yet, which we hadn't. Chased it up after a week and we were told that the manufacturer could not issue replacement parts and this has all basically been untrue. Options at this point were to wait another 10 weeks for a dining set or see if any discount could be offered to keep the damaged one. Manufacturer offered £20 which is an insult considering the inconvenience, damage and hassle. Carpets were fitted the day we moved in and the SCS recommended fitter made an absolute mess of our brand new skirting boards. We were so disappointed with the standard of work that we decided not to continue with the fitter when our vinyl arrived a few weeks later. We mentioned this to the sales manager yet have still been called several times by the call centre to try to arrange fitting! Wouldn't let their fitter near my house again. Brand new Skirtings are gouged in several places and SCS are not interested. They won't help at all even though they have sourced the fitter and recommended his work. I didn't source this fitter but somehow, nothing is ever SCS responsibility. The dining set is down to the manufacturer, not SCS. They will never help you because they just want your money and then wash their hands of you. Nobody wants to help. You'll get nowhere with the call centre and everyone is clearly used to this. They couldn't be less interested. You can't call the store direct, just the call centre. We moved into a brand new house and this has been such a terrible experience. Please please, don't buy here. Wish I could give no stars. If you get quotes, they may come out cheaper. It's not worth it. Please, don't waste your time or money.

I would score a Zero if I could. I bought 2 sofa's at start of April expected delivery was 8th July so I booked time off work to take delivery of them. I purchased carpet for sitting room & the room had to be clear so as it is getting laid tomorrow I gave my suite away thinking I could cope without it for a few weeks. Now I have been told that expected delivery into warehouse MIGHT be 25th July. Absolute joke. I wanted to cancel order only to be told that I can't & in fact as yet it is not considered delayed. This company couldn't care less that you have nothing to sit on as they already have the money for the order. I would not recommend this company to anyone it's shocking

Wanted to look around was pursued around store and talked to at the back of my head not to buy from next door (oak furniture land) as they are going into receivership not true as they are backed by a American company watch out for high pressured scare tactics go next door so much nicer approach

Quoted for carpet and fitting Sunday back today to complete the deal to be told salesman made a mistake and it?s nearly £200 more, disappointed and won?t be buying here - update contacted by media dept supplied all I was asked for and get no assistance so pointless 1*. carpet now ordered from local independent which I should have done in the first place
