We attended a Michael Jackson tribute act here. The package was great value for money. The meal at night was lovely and their was a huge selection at breakfast. The tribute act was GREAT. We had a really good time here. The bedrooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were all fantastic!

We had supper in the Bistro tonight. Really tasty food, plenty of it and good value. Excellent service. Nice friendly staff in bar and bistro. Really nice evening. Asked about vegetarian food on booking and chef put on an extra starter and main course. Very grateful as both delicious.

Lovely lunch. Steak pie with fresh vegetables. Very tasty. Good choice of beers. Sunny Beer garden, but we didn't use it. Very friendly and helpful staff We just stopped for lunch so didn't see the rest of the hotel. Nice and convenient for wandering around Dunkeld.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The last night the radiator started making a noise. There was no-one in reception at 9.0pm to speak to about the problem. The noise from the radiator continued all night and I was unable to sleep. I have reported the problem both directly to the hotel and via Booking.com but neither approach has received a response from the hotel. Terrible customer service and business management.

We never stayed here , just popped into bar to get a couple of drinks, on entering property, 2 staff members behind the bar , there was only myself and partner waiting to be served , there was no acknowledgement at all from either of them, we waited then some guest from the outside area came in and was served immediately. Since it appears we were obviously unimportant and they didn't want our business we walked out and will not be back. .

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were with a bus tour, so we were always with a lot of people at the same time at breakfast and dinner. Despite this amount on our part and a great shortage of hotel employees, the service was great! We would like to mention one employee whose service has stayed with us: Lee Willson. His presence made our stay extra pleasant. Thank you Lee.

Dunkeld is a great place to visit but not to stay for as long as its only a small village. But still some lovely walks in the area. Would definately visit for a day. Hotel was nice but for some reason there was an extractor fan in the corridors that came on everytime someone walks past. Which meant for a noisy night and not much sleep. Food was great and the breakfasts were the best I've ever had! Hats off to the chef!

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend attending a wedding in Dunkeld. The staff were simply outstanding! Looked after so well, nothing was too much trouble. It was like staying as a favoured guest the entire stay. Great location for Dunkeld, very close to all the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. The breakfast was brilliant. A great stay and would return.

When we arrived in the lounge bar for lunch, we were the only guests. The hairdryer and half empty bottle of Lucozade sitting on the bar, which remained there unnoticed for the duration of our meal, perhaps should have alerted us to the fact that detail perhaps wasn't a strength of the staff! But the waiter was friendly and as he handed us menus (there were three in our party), he noticed one of the menus wasn't clean and said he would replace it. He then disappeared. It was easy enough to share a menu, but a little odd as there was a stack of menus nearby. Our order was taken reasonably promptly, but there was a lengthy wait for our meal despite the fact there were few customers and we had only ordered sandwiches which came with crisps. However, when our food arrived, we were told there wasn't enough crisps for us all as they had run out! I had some, my husband had a few crumbs and the third member of our party got none at all. My husband, who had misread the menu, said he thought the sandwiches came with chips. Would you like some chips? asked the waiter. We declined as we didn't want to pay extra or wait any longer for more food, although with hindsight we did wonder why the chef hadn't automatically offered chips as an alternative to the absent crisps. Although the sandwiches were reasonably made, it wasn't really a satisfactory meal. Our waiter never visited our table again to see if we required anything else or to see if our meal was ok (it wasn't). All in all it wasn't a very positive experience although Crispgate, as we have now called it, has provided an amusing story for friends. We did receive a reduction in our bill, which was appreciated. A nearby table ordered fish and chips and their meals looked tasty, but based on our experience, we won't be back and would find it difficult to recommend to others.

Lovely clean cosy room, the staff were very approachable & friendly we were made to feel very welcome ? breakfast was great & plenty of it dinner in the restaurant was also tasty. Would definitely go back very reasonably priced

Dirty! The room was disgusting. We went to the local co-op and purchased cloths, wipes and anti-bac spray to give the room a clean. The huge headboard was absolutely caked in dirt and dust, as were the curtains and everything else. Our carpet didn?t appear to have been hoovered in a long time and we waited to see if this would be completed after the first night, however it wasn?t. We had to go to reception and request it be hoovered. Our toilet was leaking. Weeds have overgrown the path. However, all the staff we encountered, were friendly and helpful. The receptionist was even the person who vacuumed our room, which is clearly outwith her remit. Thanks to her. Unless you are desperate, stay somewhere else.

This felt like a Fawlty Towers experience. We were advised to book the restaurant for dinner, turned out we were the only ones there. The food was mediocre. Service was good, the staff were very friendly. Room was awful, bed squeaked every time someone breathed. It was clean but basic. Breakfast the following morning was a farce. We had to wait till 8am, the room didn?t even have its lights on till after 8am. Then we were asked to move to the bar area because we had our dog which we did. Sat by ourselves with a sad breakfast of toast. Couldn?t wait to escape.
