I do quite like this Asda. I haven't had many dealings with staff, but when I do cycle out closer to midnight, I'm content in the knowledge I can get everything I need here. I really enjoy shopping way off-peak and, despite my odd shopping times, stock levels are always good. They also sell new young coconut here, which is a rarity in UK supermarkets and quite a treat to find. This is an A-OK supermarket; my main motivation for visiting again and again being that it's open 24 hours.

I was threatened by the delivery driver. If you value your safety, just avoid asda delivery at all costs. Better yet, shop elsewhere.

Worse parent and child parking spaces I have come across in a supermarket. Hardly any space between bays, never mind when people don't park correctly. What's worse is that people without kids are using them without any shame! Please sort this out.

I like supermarkets. This is probably a bit weird (I like airports and service stations too, all these sorts of big buildings). Asda at the Western Harbour is pretty good - it's a reasonably modern building, so as supermarkets go almost attractive. It usually has a good selection of produce, and always has great offers on. I've never had a problem with the queues, the tills are usually manned sufficiently and the self-service moves quickly. It's also very near a bus route, which is handy when, like me, you don't have a car. Plus it's open 24/7!

Not bad as far as supermarkets go. Big store and usually fairly quiet. Big carpark and 24hour opening which is handy.

Re: Review from KiKiLove17: I was actually coming here to write my own review of this store (my local Asda) and stumbled across this recent review, Your experience of the counters department doesn't sound too good and a bit disheartening but it has somewhat surprised me as I have bought products from the very department you are complaining about and the various staff members who I have dealt with have always seemed very nice and approachable even at the busiest times during the weekend and particularly over the recent christmas spell , when I was buying for a party. I have often seen it be the case of them baring brunt to grouchy customers with a noticeable belief of self importance and an attitude with intent to demean. Something you get in all supermarkets. I used to work in Sainsbury's a few years ago and that was no different. Customers disrespecting the individual and carrying on as though the staff are irrelevant beings just because they work in a shop (most colleagues in my experience are or where uni or college students looking to earn a living as they study and probably more intelligent than half of the customers they served That's not to say that if you work in a store and do not study that makes you stupid, also where would we be without the people working in Supermarkets?? Someones got to do it!!! However that statement aside (not related to this incident just my opinion) I can see why you would be disappointed but if your first experience was so bad and had repulsed you enough to put you off your pizza that you still willingly chose to buy, cook and only manage to take a bite from then why return a few days later to the same counter of the same store for yet another pizza if it could be possible that the guy you alleged was fingering his bum and touching his bits may well have been there again? Also your response and that of your partner should ideally have been grounds for Asda's management to bar you from entering their store again as telling a service assistant to " shove the thing up your arse" is or should have been classed as verbally abusing a staff member especially when you swore. A counter claim that this person could use in their defense. Also calling another member of staff a dirty little being is a little bit out of order as I'm sure you must agree if you are a reasonable sort of person! It is often the case of people complaining and using their position as a customer to their advantage to patronize and act out of spite and bitterness to get people into trouble. You stated that you have contacted the store again and again. Surely the fact that you will have received a £20 gift voucher for your trouble due to this grievance could have been enough without you persistently contacting the store in the hope of someone losing their job, also if you were told this would be dealt with then what is the purpose of a follow up complaint. Management in any retail environment would agree that your response was a little over the top and the very fact that this review has documented a word for word account of what the situation was and your responses wouldn't really paint you in a good picture. Nobody could really be sacked for what a customer claims unless there is an impartial party to corroborate the claim, sacking someone on the strength of a customer who complains a lot would be deemed unfair dismissal and realistically it would have to be an EXTREMELY serious offence for that colleague to be dismissed in either situation. If as you say management have reviewed video and SOUND? recording then surely this person would have already been disciplined through the correct procedures that the company sets out? And you would have been heard saying what you stated you have (refer to above point) Also in my experience it is nonsensical to assume or claim that sound has been picked up on a cctv system in a supermarket if sound was recorded then it would be a mishmash of sound from all the expected noise from a busy environment. Would having people sacked and having customers N

I have to say I was tempted to write a first review of something else than a supermarket - after all, it doesn't look too posh in the pretentious world we live in. Nevermind :) ASDA 24h Leigh is a brilliant example of what George has to offer - spacious, full range of food (particularly my fav muffins), self checkout to avoid any contact with the occasional clerk if you so wish (and manage to shop the stuff that under-25s are allowed) open all day every day - what more to say? What else would you want from a supermarket?

Very poor experience!! The cafe staff are rude. Would never visit again!

This Asda is fab and although a little farther than morrisons granton, I would much rather go here as the store is always fully stocked, the staff, in particular the checkout staff, are always very polite and helpful, and best of all, I can always walk straight to an available checkout without waiting for too long. The only slight downside is the crazy car park but apart from that it is great.
