I had a very weird experience today. My son loves charity shops (they go sometimes with the nursery as well).I was told off by the member of staff that how much is it cost if my son breaks something and he made me feel we are not welcomed at all.I was standing next to my son and yes I asked him to put down some toys, but not because he was rough with them.I?m easy going and I don?t mind if someone brings my attention on something what I don?t do right, but there is a way how to communicate it.If someone thinks he is not behaving (what he did on this rare occasion) they can approach me and in few words ask me to leave/ make him quiet/don?t touch stuffs, but not giving a 3 minutes lecture how other people broke stuffs, making my son to think he is not behaving well or did something wrong.Anyways all staff hard work is appreciated but this was not a nice or ?necessary ? move.

Took some really good bric a brac and clothes. No thank you for my donation just a complaint that the laptop cushion could not be accepted. Will not be handing anything else in there. Also projects in Scotland have had funding taken away.

Good and affordable stuff

This used to be a great charity shop with lots of really good bargains, but has gone down while prices have risen considerably. Incomplete children's toys and pictures are particularly badly priced. There also seem to be a large number of paid people working here rather than volunteers which surprised me.

I found the place to have a good variety of items, and staff to be kind enough. I was lucky to find what I was looking for at a good price. Worth popping in if you?re looking for something specific at a good price!

Employees are silent when you give them a package with donation stuff. The cash register is strained to participate in the lottery or just donate to help support cancer patients (and isn't buying anything there help and support?!) When refusing, they look condemningly! But why should I donate EVERY TIME? I go there quite often and have the right to refuse an additional contribution at least once!P.S. Package for 10 pence, which is necessary to take away the purchased, transparent and not particularly durable

My son, age 11 picked up a box of lego which was priced at £4! Staff member overheard us chatting & took the box from my son saying 'sorry but this is actually £20'! I told him that if there is a price on it you must sell it at this price but he walked away from us. Left with one upset son For a charity shop, £20 is a bit greedy!!

While I totally support the idea to raise money for important causes, but I can't agree with the policy of this shop. Recently, we bought Lego sets and board games here for my children. None of them was full. The half was missing of the Lego sets, which made them impossible to build, and important pieces were missing from the board games which made it impossible to play them. Lego joblots on the internet are cheaper than their prices and there are many freecycle sites where I can grab board games for free and in complete. The Lego was the last drop today, I would go back to complain if I had the recipe but it never touched my hands... Next time, I will be the cranky customer who will ask them to get out my recipe from the trash and don't drop it away without asking if I want it. I don't even understand without checking the condition of their items how they can put a price tag on it. But who cares if a customer, especially a child, is disappointed, they got the money.

They are friendly, good place to grab some bargains and it's for good purpose. We pop in every month. However, it is not always checked what they are selling can work or if there are all the pieces. Unfortunately, I found many faulty and/or incomplete items recently. It seems they care less nowadays about what they put on their shelves. Also, there are new people who are not really kind with the customers. Therefore, I changed my rating.

On the whole, l find this to be a great charity shop, in my experience. I make regular donations and get some excellent bargains there as well. The staff are usually very friendly and chatty . It can be tricky to get a refund if a piece of clothing does not fit , but sometimes it is easier to just donate the item back.I would recommend it as a good shop.
