Some advice from personal experience:1. avoid this store and go somewhere else; if you can?t, then2. Never pay for anything upfront (eg if they need to order it to store)3. Carefully inspect the item you?re buying for marks, scratches etc4. Don?t blindly take the staff?s word5. Know your rights, especially the consumer rights act.My experience:I wanted to buy a watch for my wife and paid for the model she wanted, but which wasn?t in store. Ciara took the payment and said the watch would arrive a few days later.I came in to pick up the watch; and the leather strap was completely worn out. It had multiple creases and tears in the leather. Ciara and some of her colleagues tried to explain to me that this was usual, even for a new watch that had been on display.I rejected this watch and asked for a new watch that also looked new. Next time the manager Luke called and presented with what he called a new watch. To this day, I still believe it was the same watch as before, just with newly ordered straps, as the straps were perfectly straight. Upon further inspection, the back of the watch had multiple scratches which I pointed out. Then, I asked for the warranty card and Luke started to explain at great detail how this manufacturer doesn?t issue physical warranty cards anymore. This was misinformation as the manufacturer confirmed to me via email that all newly purchased watches need to have their physical warranty cards activated by the retailer. Later, Luke told me he would use his authority as store manager to order a new watch from the factory to his store.After a few days, I asked Luke for an update and he informed me the watch had been ordered but that the delivery was out of his hands. I gave him an ultimatum and asked him for a refund if the watch didn?t arrive in that time.When the ultimatum passed, I went to the store and was greeted by Ciara again as it was Luke?s day off. She quoted the company policy that my wife and I can?t get refunds only store credit.So we complained to the head office who directed us to the regional manager Steve. Steve called us to discuss our complaint. He confirmed that Luke was misinformed about the physical warranty cards and did not have the authority to order new watches directly to his store. He tried to offer a different watch of the same model from CH?s stock but was not willing to order a new watch from the factory. We insisted on a refund and had to refer to the consumer rights act twice before Steve was willing to offer us a refund, which had to be processed in store. We were also offered a gift card, which we declined on the day, but brought it up with Luke later.My wife and I then went to the store and also found out that our gift card had been charged with an additional amount, which seemed to have been an honest mistake by Ciara. However, if we hadn?t noticed it on the gift card statement, we wouldn?t have received that money back either.And finally, Luke said that Steve would send a gift card from the head office to our home address. However, until this day it hasn?t arrived - I supposed the gift card is in the same mail processing centre as the new watch that had been ordered straight from the factory.

Very poor experience from your south gyle branch, was gifted a baby bracelet which I took back to the store to get engraved on the 8th October, when I went to collect my baby?s bracelet the diamond was no longer white and had turned yellow, I queried this to be advised it?s not a real diamond and that because it?s in the lower price range of bracelets it?s normal for this to happen, I then contacted the manufacturer who advised the information given to me was incorrect!! I advised the diamond was not yellow when I handed this in for engraving! After a back and forth the manager Luke finally agreed to replace the bracelet as they could not give any reason or explanation to why the diamond was now yellow and looked like it was missing, again I had to call them up chasing this! it?s now the 15th January I still don?t have my baby?s bracelet back, no one has been in contact with me or provided an update I?ve called today for an updated and advised it?s still not back! It?s been more stress than it?s actually worth! Avoid unless u have plenty time to waste chasing them up!

My wife Nikki and I purchased a beautiful diamond from Kerlin at Chisholm Hunter. From start to finish the service we received was exceptional. We didn?t have childcare on the day so I took our wee lad shopping while my wife drank Prosecco and chatted with Kerlin who is a fantastic sales lady and very professional and warm. Nikki is over the moon with her new ring purchased for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Visited the store yesterday looking for a wedding band for my to be son-in-law and met with Chloe, who was very approachable and polite. I was with my better half and daughter to keep me right as jewellery is definitely not my forte.We explained what we were looking for, and Chloe presented some options and allowed me to try them on to see how they looked.We discussed budgets, and with the assistance of the fabulous Luke, who is the store manager, we managed to agree on a piece that would have to be slightly modified to make it work for us.As we were looking to spend less we were in no way made to feel uncomfortable, if anything the opposite, Luke worked with Chloe to find a product that closely matched what we were looking for and we ended up making a purchase.Great service breeds confidence that later, when you need it, you will be looked after, and the team here were Aces in that department.Having never shopped at Chisholm Hunter before, I am converted and can't see past them.Well done, and keep up the superb work.

Great pre-sale service from Kira who kept me informed on the progress of my watch and when it would be in store. The service was very professional.I never felt pressurised or rushed into a purchase and it always felt like Kira was ensuring I got the best outcome with regards to model number, straps and price.Kira was unavailable on the day of purchase but Ciara looked after us and was also very professional.

We bought a watch from here in April 2023, that failed in June 2023. Unfortunate, but these things happen. We took it back to the shop, who sent it back to the manufacturer for repair. It was in the workshop for around 6 weeks. I was told 4, and when I chased up the repair. I was told it was with the manufacturer and they would track it and phone me as soon as they had an update and left a number for them to call. They never phoned back. I phoned again a week later to ask about the watch, to be told "Its been here for a week now but we dont have a phone number on file so we couldnt contact you? The watch was still faulty after repair. We went in the next day, we spoke to Ciara? who was lovely and just following direction from the store manager (the store manger never spoke or acknowledged us the whole time we were in store - he was far too interested in the older couple in to purchase). Ciara took the watch to the manager who inspected the watch and told her to tell us that there is another watch that is the exact same that we could have however he said there was a few scratches on the bracelet so we would just get a new watch face and not the bracelet. This was the third time we had been to the store, they took our email address down wrong and didn't phone us after leaving a number with them. It would have been common decency for the manager to us "Hi guys, Im the store manager, look I know you've been into store a few times now about this watch and I'm really sorry about that. Look, the best thing I can do for you today is to swap it with a new one. However, I've had a look at the bracelet and it's a bit scratched and our policy means we can only replace the face - but that saves you waiting on another repair and you would have a new 12 month warranty." Anyway, the reason why I didn't get a new bracelet is because I was told that they are going to repair my faulty watch and sell it on again with the new bracelet! We were looking to buy wedding bands but wont be from here as our confidence in the company has been lost because of this.

Waiting for ages to get served. There are 2 customers and 3 assistants. How can this be!To be fair, Ciara was really nice and did apologise but it shouldn't happen.

Great service, staff make you feel welcome supporting you with patience. myself and partner recently purchased wedding rings at their Gyle shop and they made the experience memorable. anytime we went in with our little one they always made him feel part of the process and kept him entertained when needed.
