Both people I spoke to were very well mannered and informative. When I arrived to pick up the meat they were again very helpful. Will certainly use again.”

“Wanted to say big thanks to staff members Josh and Jarvis. On Saturday evening 12th June I was cycling home- which was many miles away , and had to do a running repair on my bike. I came into the store to buy Allen keys. Not finding any I asked staff Josh and Jarvis and explained my predicament. They searched the store-then phoned home to bring in a set. I was able to do the fix and ride home. Thank you guys for your help and excellent customer service.”

A lovely member of staff ( I think her name was Broghan) came to my aid and kindly escorted me to the till and then made sure I got out of the shop safely. Thank you Broghan.”

“Another shop under strain with more to offer at the counter. Stephen's bakery and hot food and customer and lottery and only 2 counters for staff to serve. And then only 2 self service tills. Sometimes they are an inconvenience them selfs. Some staff are rooted in the shop. And some new faces have appeared, one guy in Particular annoys me. With 2 scotmids in area. 3rd one on granton road. Not west granton lol. I get annoyed with shops price differences. Crewe shop is the better one. Just stresses me due to there being so much for staff to take on. List of stuff is overwhelming. Normal store it self. With shelves always stacked. Times there is long periods of specific items not coming onto shelves. But most of the time it's always got what you need. Now in store you have Hotdogs , slush puppies. Costa coffee , hot food. Bakery, offers cakes and more food. And then staff also have to sort out parcels. Returning or collecting. But still otherwise more challenging behind the counter when there is a que of customers who just want to pay for there shopping. Oh self service, well bare in mind if u have alcohol or energy drinks etc... u could be standing a while to get verified. Coz staff are really busy doing everything else. I do think a staff member needs to be at these self service tills and then monitoring the other goodies on offer. Like costa coffee , hotdogs and slush puppies. And maybe even this staff member could take parcels and when behind counter they can help with self service tills. These self service tills are meant to help. Sorry,they should be more convenient for us. And to help staff free thier time to do more tasks. And to get us customers happily on our way. Dont always work like that. And people are still dubious about using self service anyway. Most people want alcohol or cigarettes or lottery even to use for parcels too. Milk and bread. The classic essentials is good to just go ahead and skip the que and serve ourselves. Not everyone does thou. So again, it would help to have a member of Staff on floor at all times to help customers with any needs or concerns they have about anything in store. And these self service tills... Snappy shopper is up and running. I dont rate the actual people who do the shopping for us. As they never do have that personal touch. Like,sell by dates. Nightmare! Or the utter random substitute items. Why??? Honestly, why? Had a nippy experience with snappy shopper and having to take the actual delivery to the shop and show them what am not happy about. Staff am not naming , she was amazing. She totally understood what I was saying, About, the items. And even agreeing with me too. She is a legend in this store.”

Both are small, but generally do the job just fine – sell almost any food including quick snacks. Workers are polite and Scotmid sells the best steak pies, try them.Unlike other Scotmid stores, this one may be short on anything, including bakery.”
