Although my in store experience was good, i was promised by the in store colleague that the ex display sofa would be changed in store and ready for delivery 15th Nov, the online tracking said 7th November so i got rid of my old sofa then chased them on 9th to be told first week in December! Very unhappy with this service

Delivery was late 6 weeks so we waited for a sofa 17 weeks. Poor contact and they didn't want help us. They was nice before we order the sofa in store after that they forget that we are their customers. All employees said that we should get a discount and when te sofa arrived we got information that they don't give a discount only wine for apologies. Funny.

Totally rubbish my delivery been delayed 5 times. No one care about my order. Maybe we should make fb community site and chose one day to came all together to shop and stop them from selling something that they can?t deliver.

We ordered a sofa , bed , mattress , chairs and dining table. We received an email saying our furniture is ready and we can book a delivery. We booked for September 23rd since we are moving into a new home with NO furniture!!! The date of the delivery we were wondering the time they will arrive so we called . We were told they had nothing for us!!! Then we were told that they cancelled our delivery but no one told us !!! We were in shock !!! Finally after wasting a full day on the phone , they explained that only the mattress was there and we could re book that and the bed , table and chairs will be arriving on the 26th and sofas on 18/10.We were asked to call the delivery company to try to book all together with the mattress , again no bed , chairs or table.We called to cancel , we were advised not able to cancel at this point !!!Until now we have no idea if the bed and rest are arriving and now reading other experiences , we might be lucky if we get our sofa this year !!! We have absolutely no furniture and currently sleeping in an inflatable bed. So far only the mattress is coming on October 3rd and still no news about the rest.On the chat they have told us there was an issue with the system !! and that's why the delivery company can't see our order ? How is this even possible? If they are not able to deliver the items , why we can't cancel ?

Edit: 02/10/2023:Downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star. I was informed that our insurance plan would cover our "entire order". This included the dining table we bought, at the same time. It turns out this is not the case and that DFS have a insurance plan, specific to dining tables.Edit: 25/04/2023:I am still happy with the products i bought from DFS, but the customer service is just abysmal. Was informed that my price would be honoured if a sale came up before receipt. I waited 4 months and 6 phone calls to the call center before i got a call back. The advice from the call center on call 6 was to go to the store as they couldn't even get ahold of them.If you buy an item, make sure to get the store direct number and a sales representives direct number.Original Review: The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the sofas, products and financing options.

Lovely staff, very friendly but not pushy. We were served by young boy Ross, who was fantastic and patient with us. He couldn't do enough but in a lovely manner. We bought suite and dining table and chairs. What we thought was going to be a stressful time turned out to be very enjoyable, and it was all down to Ross.

We purchased our L-shaped leather sofa set in 2020. The price of 2 pieces were 1200 but addition of 2-year guarantee, £ 50 sofa cleaning kit, ~ £50 chair leg protectors and delivery and assembly services summed it up to 1800£. Well as a customer who has purchased these services, I?d advise you to not buy any further services. During first 2 years, sofa will be in good condition anyway and buying 2-y guarantee is just waste of money. Our L-shaped sofa has bent after 3 years which will not be covered by guarantee. It?s wise of DFS to offer 2-y guarantee as they predicted the durability of their furniture very well. Also I don?t recommend you to buy leather cleaning kit and leg protectors as you can buy them from Amazon for a much more cheaper price and to be honest, leg protectors were detached from the legs after first 2 months and they can?t stop the sofa from moving and practically they?re useless. It?s better to buy them for £5 from Amazon than from DFS for 50£. Hope my comment help new buyers ?

My son purchased a display suite on 19/2/23 promised delivery within a week. Still waiting. No communication from start of the sale. Been into shop a couple of times. DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Update 21/05/23 still not got suite. What a joke of a Company.

Unfortunately I have to echo the many bad reviews this company has had when things go wrong.Get the sofa you ordered? Great!Get the wrong colour sofa delivered after 4.5 months wait? Then welcome to the hell of a customer service full of false promises.Ordered a Green Harlan sofa.Waited 4.5 months for it to be deliveredDay of Delivery, noticed the colour was Black.Mentioned it to the delivery guyResponse was ?oh yeah this is Jet black, We?ll assemble it anyway, we won?t leave you without a sofa and DFS will contact you?Next day get notification from their Finance company saying your order has been fulfilled and they?re going to start billing me each month.Inform finance the order hasn?t been fulfilled as I didn?t order a black sofa.Ask finance to pause any payments from coming out.They say tell DFSCall DFS.Manager at Edinburgh store says he needs 24 hours to figure out what went wrong and to search warehouse but can?t cancel finance agreement ?because I?m benefitting from the sofa? they basically forcefully assembled in my flat.Tells me ? I could have told the Delivery guy not to assemble it?Advised me that if the sofa was manufactured wrong will need to wait same lead times again for a new one to be made in China. Wait 9 months for a sofa? No thanks.For 7 days they kept promising a callback.Each customer service assistant promising they?ll call you back, take it upon themselves to personally phone you.None of them ever phone back.The rudest manager you?ll ever speak to is at the edinburgh store.Tells me I?m being ?completely unreasonable asking for a resolution within 2 weeks?.Phone everyday for them to chase up if the sofa was manufactured wrong.Nobody has a clue what went wrong.Say they need to manually search warehouse in Chelmsford and every day they need 24 hours.Tell the edinburgh manager clearly the company has issues.Manager hangs up after shouting at you down the phone saying ?I don?t care what people have written in reviews online. They only write reviews when they?re unhappy?.Not true. Look at all the 5 star reviews you?ve asked customers for.Maybe you should care though? Because as you say people only write reviews when they?re unhappy?Don?t waste your time, money or energy at a place that seems incompetent at sympathising with a customer.When you ask if there will be any compensation if the sofa was manufactured wrong from the beginning.Response from DFS ?we can give you back the delivery fee back?Tell them that?s laughable.Wow, that?s the first time I?ve heard returning the delivery fee is compensation for messing up an order!How can I possibly trust you can manufacture a sofa the right colour a second time!?What kind of quality control do these things go through to get to the customer all the way from China the wrong colour.Moral of the story?Stay away from a company that genuinely doesn?t care about making things right when things go wrong.
