They can be a little hard to find, but once you get hold one of the guys in the bike section they are very helpful and well informed. I think the folding bikes they make represent good value for money compared to many of the alternatives at the same quality point. The online chat and agents are not very helpful. It would be better to be able to speak directly with the store you're dealing with.

Booked an oil change. Turned up to be told there was no chance of it being done that day as it was busy?? They asked me to leave my car with them for ?at least 2 days? - for a such a small job that?s ridiculous so obviously I refused. The situation was made even worse by the rude attitude of the guy on reception. There was no apology etc he was completely arrogant. 1 month later I?ve not received my refund and customer services are useless!

As promised.I had a simple replacement part fitted by Madalene. This young lady was pleasant, did her job swiftly, and efficiently. (Pointing out a problem that needed attention , before further damage to part.)On a wet drab Thursday morning, we all should be thankful that people/ staff such as Madalele, are employed at Halfords.Well done young lady, wish you every success in your future employ.Thank you. ST.

Tim Chad the manager of this store is an arrogant patronising person albeit I was trying to return a faulty item for the third time he couldn't even be bothered to lift his face from a computer screen or read the support from the manufacturer of the product. But he did offer to sell me a brand new item , but with no warranty I believe this is against my consumer rights. I believe Tim would be a better toilet cleaner than a manager , no leading skills or customer care whatsoever, maybe go get a job you enjoy Tim , not dealing with public , as you are not fit for purpose

On Sunday (27.08) I bought on-line Halfords-2 tires with fitting, booking 10am on Wednesday -Halfords Seafield.30.08 on Wednesday, I arrive at 9.50 and leave the car in the garage. The guy from the reception says that they have busy, but they need max 2 hours. I said -that it Ok because I had to pick up the car until 1pm, because I need going to work.I returned to the garage at 12:45, THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED!The guy from the reception says that they were very busy, he apologizes and he has extra priority appoitmentfor me on Thursday (31.08) at 9am.On Thursday I arrived at the garage with a 1.5 year old toddler in the morning at 9am for an EXTRA PRIORITY APPOITMENT. The guy from the reception says that they will quickly replace the tires and that he will call in 1 hour.I said okay, it's morning and we're going to Portobello for breakfast and I will pick up the car at about 1pm.I return to garage at 1 pm and the car has not been touched again!!!!What are these useless appointments for? I called to customer service to have someone come with a mobile van and replace the tires in my house, but they said ?No?.So I lost 3 days, 3 mornings, fuel, time!I don't have tires,I don't have money (24/48 hour refund) Tomorrow on Friday (1.09) I have to find a garage where to replace the tires because I'm going on holiday in the evening!!! On FRIDAY!!??I will never trust Halfords again!

Always use Halfords Seafield for all car services and MOTs, have done for years. I feel confident that they give good honest advice and try to keep costs down by recommending less expensive alternatives where possible. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great service.

Just went into Halfords for the second time today, looking at bicycles for my partner. We went in earlier in the day looking at ladies bikes. We found one we liked, decided to go and give ourselves a few hours to think about it.We returned later around 5:30pm to find the staff were packing up to leave early, there appeared no one about. When someone appeared, he said the girl selling bikes was actually getting ready to leave.We explained we had chosen a bike and would like to buy it. The guy said these bikes aren?t for sale just for display. I said all of them?? He said yep!! When we were there earlier in the day, we had been led to believe, the bike we were looking at was in stock and the store closed at 6, not 5:30?? so I asked again, no bikes for sale?? He said, yep. I asked if he had any through the back, he said he would have to check, but the girl that does the bikes is leaving early. If you see something you like it?s best if you order online. You can collect in store, but that?s the quickest way to get a bike.I said thank you we will go somewhere else??.!We liked the bike so we went to the Straiton branch and bought it from them. They were HAPPY for us to take it away ourselves and build it or have it ordered into the store.

Thank-you Halfords for a truly superb service in both the Seafield and Hermiston stores in Edinburgh. I sought to purchase two items but had to go to both stores as only one was available at the first. On each occasion the staff were more than helpful, going the extra mile to be sure I obtained the correct products. All my questions were answered with eloquence and accuracy. Excellent.

Wrong roof box delivered - besides being the wrong colour , it was defective. Techician also failed to secure aerobar lock which was subsequently lost thereby requiring all locks to be replaced. Thanks Halfords - still waiting on correctly coloured roof box

Very disappointed. Returned a faulty item. Left it for a few days then tried to call to see if the replacement had arrived. (I wasn't advised as to when it would come in as there wasn't one available in store). I was put through to a call centre who, after the third time I called, tried to put me through to the branch....they didn't pick up more than once. The call centre operator messaged the store. I left it until the next day and, just as I was about to call, I received a voice mail that my item was in store. I drove the 11 miles to the store to find the wrong item had been ordered. The assistant then started to reorder but didn't say a word to me until the last thing....."it'll be here on Thursday " said she. No apology or any sort of explanation. I really hope it's the correct one on Thursday. I don't have much confidence and it's a 22 mile round trip!

Excellent customer service from Oliver! Not just 5 stars but a galaxy of stars! He was excited about bikes, he answered all of our questions honestly and clearly, good knowledge of his field, very happy we bumped to him ?

Customer service in here is shocking. Steve the bike fixer ride and aggressive. I have back issues and had to carry my massive ebike up stairs no offer to help no elevator should of slipped and made a claim? Bike not put together well and a couple of the staff members incredibly rude! When told the bikes not been put together properly bikes weren?t wired when left the shop that?s ?giving them a hard time? £1000 bike you?d expect abit of service and apologies that under 30mins it sounds like a bag of nails?

I went to Halfords on a Sunday afternoon to change my rear bulbs as my brake lights weren't working, after putting the new bulbs in I realized bulbs weren't the problem. I went back into Halfords to ask for advice on what the problem may of been. Tim and Alex came out to look at the car and quickly got to work they solved the issue quickly. Both Tim and Alex were very helpful and polite, can't thank them enough.

Came in late tonight as I finished work later and the manager was really helpful. Fitted both my headlight and rear indicator on no notice and was super helpful, great hospitality!
