Honestly the worst branch you can visit, there?s never been a time where there?s been any good customer service so I?m not surprised by other reviews. Don?t bother with the same day click and collect either - mine was available only after the store had closed ?The staff look like they hate working there, can?t be bothered to help anyone, buying shoes there is an absolute chore too, even when it?s quiet. One midweek morning the staff looked like they?d all been on a heavy bender the night before, my 11 year old daughter asked me why they looked so scruffy.I always head into the shoe store next door - it?s night and day , far nicer staff.This isn?t a recent problem, it?s been going on for years and JD won?t do anything about it.

Kept waiting 25 mins for pair of trainers the whole place was dead. Absolutely shocking you'd think I was spending £5.00 the way I was treated ! I'll wont be back

Went to JD Sports Kinnaird Park, Edinburgh and spent 15mins waiting for the shoes we requested to be brought out. That was after asking a desk clerk where the rest of the shoe staff were (she didn't offer any help), as the only guy there was rushed off his feet.Eventually we picked our a pair which were put behind the desk, where I then waited another 10mins to be served, only for the desk clerk to walk away to help a previous customer find missing car keys (??) and the next desk clerk needed to cash up her till. 35-40mins to buy a pair of kids trainers. What a joke!

It clearly says it?s £18 but the manager rudely charged us £30. I felt this rudeness was racially motivated and he refused to sell for £18.

Absolutely awful experience there today. With my granson trying to get school shoes/trainers. Poor quality staff who wander about with no intension at all to help you to get sizes etcWhen you do manage to get someone to go to look for a bigger size shoe they just go through the back and do not return for ages.No sign of any manager around at all. HOPELESS

Price tag was £18 but the manager charged me £30 at the till. He said it was an ?error? hence the £18 price tag but it showed very clearly it was £18. The manager was really rude to us and he says ?it?s up to me whether he?s selling or not? he refused to sell for the price tag. (Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird)

Terrible store! Staff are very rude.Waited to be served for 5mins(no que atall, store was empty) 4 members of staff just stood around chatting! I thought I was invisible! I had to interrupt the very important chat to asked to be served! The store has went down hill, shop could do with a massive shake up! Would rather shop online from now on. Terrible experience this evening 20/07/2023 @ 19.45.

Awful store experience. Went in to get holiday clothes for our sons. Firstly spoke to someone to get junior trainers size for my son to be told "they don't go up to that size, they only go up to 5½" when I told him he had a size 6 in his hand from the shelf, he just dismissed me and that was the end of the conversation. Then my other son went to try on a t-shirt but the fitting rooms were an absolute riot. 2 large boxes overfilled with hangers were blocking the entrance, he asked the same staff member if he could use the fitting room to be told "they're closed today" - we then witnessed another staff member letting to lads in just a minute later. Then there's the checkout area. Bags and bags of deliver to store lieing literally everywhere with piles of clothes and shoes behind the counter. Rubbish lay in front of the counter and the staff were moaning about their own shop in front of customers as we waited ridiculously long in the queue to be served. There seemed to be plenty of staff but the customer service from every staff member we encountered was simply unacceptable. Someone in front of us complained to a staff member and was told "there's nothing we can do about it". I would much rather shop online than buy from this badly managed, badly staffed store. Avoid at all costs!
