Visited here for lunch on March 1st, and ordered gyoza, yakitori, and a set of 8 nigiri sushi (+ coke and sake). Gyoza skin was very hard but not in a pleasant crispy/crunchy way. Yakitori was ok but in a quite small portion, and the rice for nigiri was very cold, and had a hard and dry texture. We went there without a reservation, but don't think it was the issue as we were the only customer for the whole time while we were there. The interior of the place (including the bathroom!) was densely decorated with various Japanese things. It made me feel very nostalgic and miss the taste of home (I am Japanese), so it was a real shame that I didn't get that.

Untasteful. 56 pounds for a supermarket cook stuff.I have no words.Le seul goût que j'aurai trouvé à ce restaurant est l'amerthume de la note. Permettez-moi de la partager.Côté positif : la déco est sympa.Edit : funny for you to talk about genuine stuff ; 2 ramen soup, your very special one with one pork and one veggie + 2 miso soup (if supermarket soup deserves this appelation) + 1 rice beer and 1 kombucha. You want a new post with a screen of my bank account ? I would gladly make you know a second time how untasteful it was.Oh and it was like 6.30-7.00 pm on thirsday 28 March, for the records.Dont play this game with me.

Ramen was very good. The hell ramen was meant to be very spicy but it was only mildly spicy. The sushi was not good. I do not recommend getting this! The rice was a mushy and had no flavor. The tempura was soft and not crispy. They use too much teriyaki sauce on their special maki rolls.Service was a bit slow despite there having enough staff and not many people in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and polite.****They also charged VAT AND tip as an extra on the receipt so you end up paying (30%) more than what you expect !!!***

We had a takeaway from this restaurant for the first time, but we were deeply disappointed with the portion of the food.We ordered Red Dragon Roll (8 pcs) which costs £12.90. If you look at the first photo, you could see that the food wrap is slightly bigger than my hand. I have a relatively small hand for a guy, so you can imagine how small the portion is. We were utterly baffled! If you go to other Japanese restaurants in town, the sushi rolls are much bigger but slightly cheaper than those we bought from here. Hence, it was completely not worth it. I would expect most of the food to be slightly cheaper in Dalry area than those in town but I was shocked to see how expensive they were here. It costs about £1.61 for such a small piece of a roll.We also ordered Miju Cheesecake which costs £5.90. As you can see from the second photo, the portion is also very small and it just tastes like the ones that could be bought from the supermarket at a cheaper price. I would have expected it to taste a little special as it was served in a restaurant, but my expectation was way off the track. All in all, we felt like we spent too much money on such a small portion of food here so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a decent meal with a reasonable price.

Visited after recommendations from friends who have been before and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there.I ordered the omikase set and wow what a selection and everything was so fresh and delicious. You can clearly tell the restaurant uses only high quality ingredients ?Everything else we ordered was also spot on and delicious, all washed down with some sake.A great addition to the Dalry area and just a short walk from town. Thank you Miju for such a wonderful meal!

Best Japanese in Edinburgh. Second time come back. I had spider roll, nigiri platter and chicken Gyoza. Spider roll is my favourite as it?s still nice and warm and crispy. Highly recommend!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Edinburgh! The sushi was super fresh and the ramen was one of the best I?ve had. The waiters were all super friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended and cannot wait to come back!?

Nicely decorated place! A lot of effort put into making it look nice. Westernized « sushi » that tastes bad. Overpriced. Went in for takeout, subpar service. I ordered one piece of different kinds of nigiri. They gave me two and charged me for two. It was not what I ordered. I cannot emphasize how bad the nigiri and maki were, but I did not try the ramen or donburi.

Restaurants like this make me wish I still lived in Edinburgh. If you don't have a reservation, it's best to get there early - We popped in just after half-5 on a Saturday evening and were the first people in, but the place soon filled up with reserved tables and walk-ins. Everything we ordered was great, especially the chicken skewers and karage. The seafood was delicious and the rice was great too! Miso soup was a bit bland, but everything else was excellent. All the plates we saw going to other tables looked excellent too. The service couldn't have been better or more attentive, given there was only one staff member for all 24 covers.
