Royal Mail is supposed to offer a service. Opening just 2 hours early in the morning fails to do so. How is one supposed to be able to collect a parcel?

After a long confusion in international mail, my parcel was there for collection.

I have been waiting 5 days since they said they were going to deliver and still nothing. No wonder they are going bust!

My 2 weekly magazines are now 2 and 3 days late. Royal mail website only gives phone contact details and there is a 40 minute estimated wait. No email or local phone number given, so I can't find out why my subscriptions are late.Overall, very disappointed. One star is more than I wanted to give, but can't post comment without it.

Usual pantomime of delivery promise, and delivery failure, from this office. Received a Royal Mail email this morning telling me a parcel would be delivered between 0900-1315 hrs. It's 1500 hrs now and it's never appeared. Nor has any explanation. The office is closed at this time so I can't speak to anybody to try and resolve this mess. The package in question contains urgent medication for my dog, who has chronic arthritis. He'll suffer now. Well done Royal Mail.

Good service from the staff and manager when trying to track my package due to be sent to the owner. Thank you.

Utter trash, Im not gonna add much, but I could rant for hours.Basically, all the reviews of delivery not happening, or just a card being sneaked in when ones waiting for parcel are true. Its not always up to me to decide who is delivering my parcels, but when I see it's royal mail I already know there's gonna be struggle to get my things actually delivered.Situation from today, I rearranged delivery from few days ago that there was apparently nobody at home - there were, quite a few people, email wasn't even sure on what day it was delivered cos email from Wednesday told me there was attempt on Thursday. So, its basically decided before that one is gonna miss their delivery. But, with the delivery, I was actually leaving my place and passed a delivery man in the hallway, he didn't have anything of the size of my parcel, or a bag he could fit it in. When I came back I found "we missed U card" (still progress, cos there wasn't even that at original delivery date). Card states that delivery was attempted a week ago.Anyway, it was not a first time for me and others that similar situations occur. Royal Mail is basically, as said in other reviews, collect from the office service; and the office is open 2h per day (with note collections may not be possible 30m before closing time) so, 1,5h per day, at a time most people are at work. How is that company still in the market?Just a word of advice, avoid Royal Mail at all cost, let them go out of business.

I have to say that this review is NOT based on the performance of my regular postman, but a stand-in postman.I had ordered from the Royal Mail?s Philatelic Bureau some expensive stamp collectables.DO NOT BEND is written on the envelope, he has shoved it through the letterbox thus creasing it?s contents. The second larger envelope, he just left on the doorstep open to all the elements. He couldn?t even be bothered to ring the doorbell and hand the valuable envelope to me, as my regular postman would have done. I was livid at the lack of consideration give to my mail that was obviously of some importance, as you could tell by the envelopes inscription.I dashed out of the house and challenged him. I did get his name, but won?t embarrass him by stating it here. I will write to the manager of his sorting office (Edinburgh South West Delivery Office)to complain about his indifference to his profession. He said that he didn?t see the DO NOT BEND written on the envelope. No explanation given for leaving the other envelope containing stamps on the doorstep and not ringing the bell?! Such a shame that the post office recruits such individuals that take no pride in their profession, he was totally unprofessional.

Someone went out of their way for me to help me out, they were really friendly. Great experience!

Postal vans double parked and parked on corners making it difficult to cross roads or drive from other business carparks

recent experience: they attempted delivery on one day, the postman couldn't be bothered to write the reference number so I couldn't book a redelivery myself, and they just brought it back to the collection office instead of attempting to redeliver it the next day. the collection office is open 2 hours a day, but the hours that are listed on their website are inaccurate. basically royal mail is an ineffective and inconvenient click and collect service.update your website and stop wasting people's time. 2 hour collection slot in a day is ridiculous considering most people work..

A new low. Arrive home on 9 February to a card apologising that they had tried to deliver a package and missed me. A number of options offered but the opening times are not ideal for me, so opted on-line for a redelivery on Saturday morning. The time and date was acknowledged by email. Up early on Saturday so I wouldn?t miss anything and logged onto the tracking service; it confirmed that the package was picked up and ready for delivery at about 10am several checks failed to improve on the starting status until at 12.30 a message told me that the package was going to be returned to sender because the address was unclear and couldn?t be read by the driver. Let?s not forget that delivery man on Thursday had no problem finding the flat and leaving a card. No numbers, no options. I?ve entered this dystopian void that is Royal Mail - I?m living in a Kafka novel.I?ve cancelled two morning meetings at work to down to this depot to try and intercept the parcel.before it?s sent back, but who knows if I?ll be on time. Raging at the time wasted on Saturday morning and the valuable time lost on Monday at work.

Opening hours on the website bear absolutely no resemblance to reality. Think they?re open for max 2 hours a day. Not good enough when people are making special arrangements to collect parcels.
