Big supermarket, tons of variety, helpful staff. Absolutely no notes!

As always pleasant to shop there.

Do not select this store as the collection point of Argos. They will delay your order. In general, argos displays an estimated time of arrival when placing an order, meaning that an argos driver will deliver the item to the store at this time. But the store did not enter code in their pickup system in time, which resulted in orders arriving the next day, often waiting up to a week.

Recently very intimidating as acusing regular customers of stealing and forcing to scan their receipt to exit the barriers. Other thing is how is this supposed to save the planet generating paper waste? Local Lidl is opening in few months so hopefully this Sainsbury will loose part of customers for dodgy practises.

I went in and then I realised I could not shop here as I didn?t have a nectar card and everything I wanted was 25% or so more expensive without one.

I used to be an ASDA man. But sainsbury is soo much better

I hope when all has settled down and common sense comes back into play that Sainsburys who care so much that they have Mabel and Derrick from frozen goods at the entrance saying good afternoon, (I think the term is faux Bouncers or Security, checking that you have your "Mask exemption Card") will hopefully be returned to a warmer place in the store. The 3" badge saying "mask exempt" evading their 20-20 vision or just a chance to challenge and remind the good citizens that there is a Pandemic and masks must be worn, who knew!A "Card" which doesn't actually exist ask the SNP, but we should all be thankful that these Moral Arbiters are just doing a job that they aren't trained for and have no experience in, yet feel obliged to tell you what you already know.More irritating than an episode of thrush.Alas I try not to get despondent at the Traffic Warden like commitment from the pair from Frozen goods and soothe my mind knowing that Doris from the bakery department and her sweet disposition, much like the goods she sells, will be manning the gates next week or perhaps I'll just go to Aldi's were I feel relaxed and treated as a responsible adult without any hassle and no anxiety to blight my day.

Picked up required items and then negotiated tills with ease

Compared to other Sainsbury?s in Edinburgh, this one is a bit small for me and very cramped. Much rather go to Murrayfield or Longstone

The store has had a makeover since our last visit and has a good spread of products. Despite in being almost empty when we shopped there were no manned checkouts. This meant we had to use self checkouts which never go smoothly especially with a big shop. You have to do the whole lot before you can bag up. The only positive was the staff member covering the area performing such a thankless task. Back to Aldi/Lidil.

Great service, had everything I needed and staff seem happy to help

The staff here are so rude. A man working on the self checkouts refused to let me buy alcohol, despite me being 29 and showing him a valid ID. Shocking customer service.
