We were served by Eve ant table 3 she was absolutely lovely, very attentive and not pushy in the slightest! Food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be back! The boozy brunch menu is a must and great value for money.

Not sure what happened today but half of the menu was sold out (we went in at 530pm) and then waited for an hour for our food. It was busy but there didn't seem to be enough staff on or something. Everything just took a really long time - and this hasn't happened when I have been in during busier times.Food wise, most of what we would have ordered wasn't available.Otherwise the staff were pleasant and it is an enjoyable place to visit

Went for a cocktail before seeing a show. Order our drinks. Couldn't have the ones we wanted as they didn't have the alcohol for it. Never mind. What annoyed me more was we took a seat in a table that had just been cleared only to be quickly shooed of as it was reserved, fair enough until we asked another member of staff where was okay to sit only to be told all tables were booked! I don't know if this is general practice that you book for the slug and Lettuce but surely a warning would of been nice at the bar before paying £20 for two cocktails and having to stand around drinking them as quickly as we could! Wouldn't go again.

Food was awful! Ordered the steak medium rare, and it was cooked well done. Had it tasted good anyway I would have eaten it but it was awful! They looked like they were cut out with oval cookie cutters rather than being proper steaks. Staff didn?t come round to check if our food was ok, never came to clear the table when we were finished so never got a chance to tell them personally. The calamari was also over cooked and the tofu wasn?t great. Possibly the worst meal I?ve ever eaten in Edinburgh, it makes sense now why it was the only place not full! 100% would not eat here again.

Came today on a girls boozy brunch over from Ireland for the weekend. Served by the beautiful Eve, so friendly and helpful taking picture for us and recommending cocktails. The food was so good and drinks went down a treat.

Came for a boozy brunch with work friends for a leaving drink and Meggy was exceptional. She was lovely n what amazed us most was that she remembered every single one of our rounds, even our with all changes! She?s definitely a credit to this place.

Booking for 6.30 pm. Table was dirty and menus wet with drinks spilt by previous guests. Took 30 mins to download their app and then it wouldn?t work and had to go to the bar to order drinks and food.Music was loud so couldn?t hear conversation at table. Toilets upstairs.Certainly wouldn?t go back

We went to Slug on Saturday for my birthday and the service was excellent. We were served by Ross who was so attentive and really made our experience, he is truly an asset! As well the cocktails were 50% off which made the day when better, will be back again!
