Staff are all friendly and welcoming, except for one particular staff member the seems to always be visibly irritated and frustrated (with me possibly) whenever im at the till. 9 out of 10 times, i go to the self-service isle when i dont have physical cash, but rarely i've had to go to the till to be served by a member of staff; literally on 4 seperate occasions in the past 6 months that i can remember. on the 3 encounters ive had with him, he's been unnecessarily rude, impatient and dismissive - keep in mind all i ever get is a meal deal, nothing crazy. Its like hes trying to get rid of me as fast as possible, without being discrete. Today was the last encounter. It wasnt busy at all, there was one other person behind me waiting to be served at the till. I brought my meal deal over to the till because i had cash and said "Hi, just these please." He scanned them and told me what i was due. I pulled out my clubcard, and then asked "is it okay to pay with cash?" (it took me 5 seconds to take it out) he then goes "yes! yes!", takes the clubcard out of my hand and then scans it. I hand him cash and he gives me my change, i thank him then leave. I could just be dramatic, but at the same time, i shouldnt really be leaving a tesco express with a distasteful feeling in my mouth while writing a bad review. I never write reviews, especially a bad one, but im not keen on consistently being treated poorly, when ive exchanged a total of 5 sentences with someone in a span of half a year. I do hope it's not personal and this member of staff is just miserable all the time. I work in hospitality so i can get being blunt to rude customers, but i havent said anything to elicit this behavior. I think this person is a manager (hes bald-headed to describe him in more detail).

Little tescos, had to wait a little while to get served at the till I think the store was understaffed. Prices in here are a bit more expensive then other tescos but I guess that's due to it being a express shop.

Following an initial mix-up, the store manager contacted us and went the extra mile to ensure our order was correctly fulfilled. An excellent example of great customer service. Thank you!

On Tuesday 19th November I placed a £300 online shopping order, you agreed to deliver this order between 5pm & 6pm on Friday 22nd November to the address of an Air B&B I had hired in Edinburgh.However, I had the following problems:· By 6.30pm my order had not arrived. You had notified me by text message that the delivery was delayed and my order would be delivered before 6.25pm· At 18:52 I rang your customer service team to ask where my order was. At this time I was advised that the driver had attempted to deliver at 6.20pm. I left 2 numbers on my order and neither number was rung when the driver ?attempted? to deliver. I left this matter with your customer service representative who said he would ring the store and ring me back with an update.· 45 minutes later I had received no update so I decided to ring back. Time was of the essence I had a group of 16 people including 3 under 3?s waiting for their dinner to arrive in Edinburgh. At this point, I phoned your call center again and was informed that actually no one had attempted to deliver my order at 6.20pm. What had actually happened was the drive had run out of time to deliver. I was outraged that I had been lied to previously by Tesco.· At this point, Tesco offered to redeliver my order on Saturday 23rd November between 3pm & 4pm almost 24 hours after our original agreed time. I pointed out that I had 16 people arriving in Edinburgh this evening to no food and that our trip was only 2 days (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) so by this point, in time 50% of the food I had ordered would actually not be required. Also it would have interrupted our plans for the day as someone would have to wait in for the order.· The only option I was given was to use this slot or cancel my order with £10 compensation being offered for my order of £300 in value, not even 5% of my orders value.· Upon further pressure, I was presented with the option to go to the store to collect the order, however, without transport this was a 20-minute Taxi journey to the store & a 20-minute return journey to the house, for which I was informed Tesco would be unable to compensate me. I asked for the order to be placed in a taxi at Tesco and sent to the house saving 1 leg of the journey, however, this was rejected.· I was left with no option but to cancel my order.I feel totally let down by Tesco. I had taken money from my friends with their good faith that I would arrange food & drinks for the weekend. I was embarrassed and appalled that the arrangements I had put in to place were canceled by Tesco. Your dumb online system actually still shows my order a 'delivered' despite not delivering at all Tesco.

This is a very small supermarket but it is well layed out so it's easy to find what you are looking for. You wouldn't use it for a weekly shop, but for a quick shop during the week or for picking up something you've forgotten, it's ideal. Good long opening hours and fast service.

Average large chain mini supermarket, open long hours with a reasonable range of products. Cashpoint and a few carparking spaces. Staff are always helpful.

Wonderful cheerful staff. Clean and well organised. Well stocked to level expected of a metro store. Lost my ring and thought I would never get it back but my faith in human nature was restored here. When I retraced my steps to this Tesco metro, a wonderful staff member (sorry my mind was so blown I did not get his name!) had found it and handed it in ! I will always remember him when I look at my special ring!

Not a great selection of fresh produce. Often more expensive items rather than cheaper versions. Makes shopping on a budget here really difficult. For example bananas are priced per banana rather than by weight, which is utterly ridiculous.
