When I arrived I got a warm welcome. The room was nice and warm too and well up to the usual standard.

I stay in a lot of Travelodge hotels, and this is one of the older ones. However, I always love the good service hereand staff have helped relocate my room to the ground floor on request. The location is great for Edinburgh. Outside the chaos of the city but an easy commute via the bypass to most of my sites. Its also fab access to the Pentlands for after work walks etc. Plus, the rooms have a bath. I'm always disappointed when I find my hotel room with just a shower. Even though it's right next to the bypass I've never noticed the noise much and always slept well here.

Very dirty (dirty linen, in the bathroom very dirty in the bathtub and sink you could still see the traces of the products of those before us) the room lacked a refrigerator, dryer, windows where there was a lot of current and the radiator in the room was set on a certain temperature and during the evening it was very very cold. This hotel from my point of view does not deserve even one star

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights, wonderful place to stay if you have your own transport, not so much if your taking the bus as it?s a little far from the last stop, but that stop has a Morrisons nearby so not too much of an issue, rooms were very clean when we arrived.Clean bathroom and plenty of towels with spares if needed.Only complaint was the bath was very shallow so I was hardly able to fit my whole body under water.Nearby activities: Morrisons is a 10 min walk so easy access to food and drinks, star bucks is just outside and while I did not go I know many tourists will. The mountain opposite the main road was a wonderful walk and I definitely recommend for those who like to hike.

3 night stay wanted to be close but not in centre of city. Easy to navigate to. Arrived 40 minutes early after a 4 and a half drive not expecting to get straight in but no issue for the lady on reception who despite the sign advising check in opened at 3, allocated us a room on the ground floor. Room was warm and spacious and clean. Ideal base to explore the city. Free car park for residents of hotel. We left the car and opted for a 10 minute walk down the road to get one of the regular service 16 buses to Princes Street. £2 pp fair. The other member of staff we have spoken to, again was polite, friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay at a very reasonable priceWalkability: 10 minutes walk to nearest bus stop but be aware it is downhill going so uphill coming back.

If you don't rate Costa for breakfast you have a long walk to Morrisons where you can get a whole breakfast for a fraction pf the price!
