Stayed here for one night in a SuperRoom. It was my first time staying in a Travelodge and I didn't have particularly high expectations. I'm glad to say that I overall enjoyed my short stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was clean and spacious, although incredibly basic. The bed, although a bit firm was still comfortable. The shower was fantastic, I know that SuperRooms have upgraded showers and no joke, it was great. The Wi-Fi, although it wasn't free was very fast which I appreciated. There was some noise both inside and outside of the hotel during the night, but it was to be expected. Breakfast was decent, maybe I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't so overpriced. The best thing about this hotel though aside from the great room rates is the location which is right in the heart of the city centre and only a 5-10 minute walk away from Waverley Station which was incredibly useful for me. So all things considered, this is a great budget hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes, but I most certainly wouldn't stay here for more than a couple of nights. At the end of the day, it does the job and is a pretty good hotel overall.

Excellent value, the location was great and parking was an added bonus, room recently refurbished, lovely decor and spotless. There was a bit of outside noise but to be expected when in the centre of everthing. My only recommendation would be the pillows which were very lumpy, other than that a great stay.

Absolutely perfect place to stay. Being a 5 minute walk from the train station was perfect, very easy to find. Also the location was extremely convenient for every other attraction, as it was central to Arthur's Seat, the Royal Mile, the Gardens, the Castle, ect. It was all about a 10 minute walk away in various directions, perfect for a base of operations if you wanted to switch to doing something else midway through. The staff were absolutely wonderful, no problems there, bed was clean, overall very nice and quiet stay. Just watch out for the shower!! Not sure how they all are, but ours had a lip around it and a flimsy curtain, so the water dropped straight onto the lip and the curtain didn't stop it from POOLING onto the bathroom floor. Be sure to ask for extra towels maybe because someone's gonna have to sacrifice one as a mop. RIP

Got a fantastic room rate for Central Edinburgh. Located at the end of the Royal Mile, bedrooms clean, shower great, and breakfast had a good range of choices. Staff always friendly. Hotel starting to look a little tired, but the floor I was on was being renovated, which was good to see.Overall a great stay, especially for the price.

Although the overall stay was okay, I have experienced an unpleasant stay at the breakfast restaurant as there were families staying with several toddlers even after having completed their breakfast, they blocked the ways out our tables to the buffet area, with buggies and we were unable to walk throught the corridors between tables. They kept their kids lying on the coaches seats in the restaurant. As well they were noisy. This hotel does not have a reserved area for these people. If you are a solo traveller or a couple I would not not book this hotel going forward, or maybe do not eat here !
