Great location and very clean rooms. Here you don't even need to take an adapter because the sockets all have USB (but there are also sockets for the adapter in case you have a PC).What I liked least is that the wifi is free for the first 30 minutes, after which it becomes paid. Personally I find the choice a little obsolete in 2024, especially for a city like Edinburgh.Rooms: The room is the right size to have some comfort and tranquility. There is a bathroom with tub/shower.Nearby activities: It is located in the center of Edinburgh which makes it an excellent strategic point for getting around the city in complete peace on foot. Within walking distance there are some places to eat or drink something. Furthermore, there are tourist activities such as the national gallery and other attractions within easy walking distance.

It's in a good location withing walking distance of bars and restaurants. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and very squeaky. Someone was moving bins around outside at 6am which woke me up. We paid £64 on a Wednesday night, I would probably spend a little bit more and get a nicer place next

Nice clean but quite small room with a comfortable bed. Everything is very close by Princes Str, Central Bus Station and Waverly Station are 10 minutes away by foot and the airport is about a 25 minute car rideRooms: Quite small but nice and clean. Got a bit noisy at night but nothing that could keep us up at night.Walkability: Everything is very close about a 10 minute walk from all the action

We booked a Standard Plus room, which we thought would give us extra comfort, more space, a bigger tv for the evenings with football being on, and a coffee machine. Firstly I?d like to say that the staff were amazing & really friendly. And we couldn?t fault them at all. Alan especially got us extra pillows & a fan up to our room despite being very busy. I offered to go down & fetch them, but he was happy to bring them to us. So service was amazing. The sad part of my review is the cleanliness of the room, and the fact that it really wasn?t a plus room, it was a shoe box. The bed was definitely not king size as stated on the website, the tv was a diddly little thing, the coffee machine had water left in it, so when we moved it to fill it up the water went everywhere onto some of my wives clothes. There were cobwebs in the windows, windows hadn?t been cleaned. Toilet/bathroom were ok, but below average for standard expected. The room was the real letdown, considering it?s a new design. Tiny rooms & dirty for a Standard Plus room. We paid a premium for nothing extra. We walked out the hotel on Wednesday morning, the staff on duty didn?t ask if everything was ok, or any issues. 2 ladies were on. Just nodded. The hotel is in such a great location, and most of the staff are lovely. But the rooms are the letdown. Next time I won?t opt for the plus rooms/superrooms. I?ll use Premier Inn.Walkability: Princes St was a 5min walk, and 10min walk from the train station

The heater in the room wasn't working, they said that they don't have another room, then if I want I can walk for 15 minutes to the next Travelodge at 1:30 in the morning where they have rooms available...I said only if they call and pay for a taxi. They said ok. After 10 minutes magically a room was available that was big and cold. I liked the receptionist, he kinda said he actually doesn't work there and that was him done with the responsibility. What you pay is what you get.

Hotel was just ok. Clean beds. But very poor service, not properly cleaned bathroom ,dust on furniture. We had to ask for toilet paper. We won't go back. The only best thing about it, it's wright in the middle of Edinburghs old town. You don't need a car, everything is in reach by walking 15 minutes.

Staff is very accommodating, I booked a king bed room, and asked if I can change to a 2 bed, the staff helped us out. I truly appreciate that. Room might be a bit cold as it's only heated by electric heating on the wall but that's not a big deal. Heater does make an occasional small noise, if you are a light sleeper that might bother you. Overall I am very happy and I recommend this place.

Do not recommend. Rooms not very clean, they don't clean everyday. Breakfast is carb heavy with no milk or gluten alternatives or fruit.

Me and my family liked our stay! Building looks lovely & small from the outside, but it's an extremely big hotel inside, 4 floors with like 16rooms on each floor, 2lifts, stairs were very safe and clean too. We booked 2 rooms!Pro:great staff at reception; location is in the middle of all the happenings, ideal if u're in town for a short time and want to go everywhere quickly! ; very clean eveywhere; a vending machine for snacks and drinks at reception; very comfy beds!Cons:No storage units at all, not even a little chest of drawers/nightstand unit, had to pile my clothes on a chair for easier access :( ; you have to request hairdryers from reception, as none are in the rooms, i wasnt told that during check-in and ended up going there with the towel on my head; doors are very loud on closing and on few ocasions i got woken up at night by the doors on my floor closing! And the heating in the rooms wasn't very good, heaters wouldn't go beyond 25° for more than 5mins then just drop to 22°C. unless i was close to it, i didnt really feel as warm :( I guess it'll be ideal for warmer days/months, but in the middle of winter?I will deff book the hotel again, as its a decent safe option and close to everything i'm interested in. Travel to/from airport is very convinient, plentry of local busses are passing thru the area, so u can explore the town beyond the touristy areas. Tram is 5mins away too.

Poor service from the reception and cleaning staff. This Travelodge was the least satisfactory compared to others we've stayed at. Only one elevator worked, and our room cards constantly needed revalidation. It's not family-friendly. We faced a lengthy interrogation at check-in. The kettle was rusty, and the washroom wasn't clean. The only positive aspect was the hotel's location.

Our request for complimentary tea and sugar Refurb was ignored. All ok otherwise.

The service is very good but the rooms leave something to be desired. The garbage inside is not changed unless you ask, there is no hairdryer, the curtain does not cover the entire window, so people can see you. The rooms are not cleaned daily either. The only good thing is the price.

Comfortable and clean room (the shower curtain is ripped and has what looks like a blood stain and there was what appeared to be pepperoni in the sink plughole) some improvements I'd suggest is bathmats for the bathroom floor as we had to use a bath towel so we didn't slip getting out the shower and a better hair dryer. Overall had a lovely stay and would stay again

The staff went above and beyond. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Will definitely return.

Location wise is good as it's about 10-15min walk from the station. Rooms are clean and Standard Travelodge...but you get noise from the outside which is not great when ur sleeping. Also you don't get any Internet signal specially in 317 room. And WiFi is £3 per day. Its okay to stay but its nothing special. But that's Travelodge.
