Optician was rude, unprofessional, dismissive and condescending. Will not be booking any further eye tests there again for myself or my children. Go elsewhere.

Absolutely first class service here! The staff work tirelessly despite being rushed off their feet! Credit to Soloman for running the store so well and special thanks to Margaret who was absolutely brilliant with my teenage son, so patient and supportive when he was learning to wear contacts, can't thank her enough. Vision Express you're lucky to have such a phenomenal team representing you!

Horrible experience at Vision Express in Tesco Corstorphine. If I could give a negative score, I would.I arranged to take my elderly mother to have a check following her first cataract removal. Her mobility is very poor - she uses a walking aid and is a blue badge holder so I knew we had to leave enough time to park and slowly make our way to Vision Express. I have a 5 month old baby too so I made sure we were packed and ready to go in good time. We arrived about 10mins before mum's appointment so I asked her to start making her way while I wrestled the pram, nappy bag, baby etc out of the car to avoid any delays.I started getting things together then looked up only to realise my mum had got confused with the one way entry system and couldn't find her way into the shop, heading for Photo Express instead... I called to her but she couldn't hear me.I got baby into the pram as quickly as possible, caught up with her and directed her to the entrance. By this time she was already visibly stressed and time was no longer on our side. She is physically unable to hurry so I went on ahead to let the Vision Express team know what had happened and that she was here. When I arrived, one staff member was dealing with a customer and another was on the computer. I queued and my mum joined me in the queue. The woman on the computer came over, my mum apologised and explained what had happened. We were 7 minutes late by this point. Instead of listening, she was very abrupt and not at all helpful. She was completely disinterested and said my mum wouldn't be seen today. My mum was tearful and apologised for getting lost but no understanding was shown from the staff member. I was told to reschedule but my mum just wanted to go home. Suffering from anxiety and depression on top of her physical ailments, the trip out was challenging. That, coupled with the worry around her eyesight, then the stress of getting lost was all bad enough. The way we were spoken to however, was the worst part. Not a shred of empathy was shown. I really hope the woman who dealt with us never finds herself in her senior years with failing health, relying on healthcare providers for a bit of care. Whilst I appreciate she couldn't magic up more time for my mum's appointment, she could have spoken in a kinder way and actually listened to what had happened as opposed to making my mum feel dreadful. She felt bad enough about dragging me and the baby out on a wasted trip (especially since we're both full of the cold). I will not subject her to that again. There are plenty more opticians out there.

Friendly staff everything explained all the way from eye test to picking out what kind of lens and frame I wanted unlike other places I wasn't guided to pick the most expensive frames everything was in a relaxing tone my choice my way no pressure certainly will return

Both the optician and the counter staff were engaging, welcoming, and happy to converse - turned out both the optician and myself came from Malaysia, so we had an interesting chat about living out there. The eye test was done well and everything was explained thoroughly and all questions answered. I have no hesitation in recommending both this particular optician (Annie Sim) and Vision Express. My new glasses were ready to collect 2 days after my eye test.

I took here my son. The examiner was rude, misleading and tried to avoid to answer my questions. I'm not sure if she didn't know about alternative treatments, or she was just neglected to share with us. (Since then we had a consultation with an optometrist who gave us much more information.) The glasses are tilted, it was a problem when we got them, they 'fixed' it. But next day, they were bad again. We went back, they 'fixed' it again. But they became distorted again. I asked what we could do, they said we should just take them back every time when it happens and they'll fix it. Which means we should go in on daily basis.

Visited for eye examination , and while I had to wait a few minutes , was dealt with very professionally by optometrist and the two other members of staff.Advice regarding frames and type of lenses and pricing was both helpful and informative. My third time at Vision , and eagerly await collecting in a few days. Glad I visited, as a defect to the back of one eye was pointed out, Thank you F. C.
