First solo dining experience in Yo! but it really doesn't matter a dot if you're on your own it's designed for it and I have to say it was amazing not having to consider anyone else when I was looking at the menu ? the new dumplings are amazing, kimchi salad was delicious, all washed down with unlimited miso. Great views of the gallery and princes street if you bag a window seat and there were plenty of spaces. Top choice. Blue light and student discount accepted.Parking: City centre so no car parking available for Yo!Wheelchair accessibility: It's all upstairs and the escalator was out of order and I didn't see an elevator so I don't think it's that accessible but I might be wrong

Went here for an early dinner a few days ago for the first time and it was surprisingly good! I had some veggie maki sushi and gyzoas while my partner had kastu curry and Korean chicken bites. It was all very much a hit! Although I will say that it?s a bit expensive for what you get, especially the drinks! We will be back tho :)

This is the first time we've been to a yo sushi since the pandemic and, oh my, things have gone downhill. No more free sparkling and tap water on each table. My youngest has coeliac so she has yo eat gluten free. We thought, sushi, no gluten, no problem. Turns out practically everything, even nigiri, has gluten!!!! Not that those things normally have gluten but simply because they can't be bovvered ensuring cleanliness and preventing cross contamination. We basically had to leave after 10 minutes, never to return again.Dietary restrictions: They gave us a link with all allergens but there was not an option to filter out the allergens and order via an app. Also, the menu didn't list the allergens. In any case, everything was contaminated with gluten, so we couldn't order anything. FAIL!

Came here for dinner with my fiancé after a day in Edinburgh seeing the Xmas Market We were placed at a corner where we were forgotten all night. Both ordered from the app and my other halfs food came out within minutes. Mine on the other hand took almost half an hour.I had to ask the staff about where the order was. Many thanks to the gentleman that helped us.We had to ask staff twice for water (after being ignored for 10 minutes). We had to ask for help and were forgotten for a while. Some of the staff weren't very helpful but to top it off, they included a tip on top of our order without even asking us or mentioning it first.We've been to Yo Sushi before in different branches but this one I will not be returning to.

So the staff are nice and the sushi is fine, some of the warm dishes are very nice. But for 2 people with 20% off for students, lunch was £80!!! And it wasn?t even a ridiculous amount, I could have eaten double what I did if I was really hungry. The portions are tiny and overpriced and I won?t be

Everything good a part from the service.You have to order on the app, or grab your food. At the moment of requesting the bill the waiter didn't even print the bill even though if requested, didn't mention any service charge, and gave us receipt after payment with an extra 10% service charge.I usually do leave tips but not even been considered or asked if the food was ok. Got zero interaction with the members of the staff

A handy location, with great views along Princes Street. Just find the small front door facing the gardens and castle.Good service from all the staff, but I find YO food generally a little sub par these days. The usual limited selection on the carousel, and my Teriyaki beef bowl was very dry and barely warm.YO just doesn't score so highly on my flavour to cost ratio these days, but it's a friendly place to eat, with speedy service.

The staff there was very friendly. HOWEVER!!! The food was horrible. I ordered a ramen with a soy egg. When the food was here, they didn't give me the soy egg. Honestly, the soup disgusts me. There is only 1 chef to cook the main dishes while 2 other chefs were there to prepare the sushi. I have waited for 20 minutes for my food to reach. The staff service was really good but isn't the food of a restaurant more important than the service?

LOVE IT ? Will I be back? Of course! When? Very soon! ??Price pp would be around £30 including a drink.Food is very nice and they have a good selection.Service was also very good.10/10

Nice experience but the sushi definitely wasn?t as good as we expected. Some of it really didn?t look fresh. Besides that we were the only ones there.. felt a bit awkward. Staff was very nice though.

Superb view and excellent service. I don't like fish but strangely really enjoy salmon sushi and I loved it.

Wowie!!!! What a treat we were greeted by a very lovely lady I'm sorry I didn't catch your name but we hope your halloween party you held with your partner was amazing as it sounded. And back to the review we are super thankful for how you were so friendly and bubbly from the beginning and so kind of you to sit us at your favourite table we can see why the view of Edinburgh castle was so great to see whilist enjoying our usual favourites my husband loves yo chicken katsu curry and I love the sushi especially the salmon and vegetable ones. We was also very excited to see that they had a Halloween special on the sushi we are big kids and love something fun - well hats off to the chef because she made not only the advertised fun monster pumpkin sushi but also placed a spider web chocolate design on my chocolate mochi which are my favourite my husband loves the doriakyi pancakes the rasperberry sauce from it I love too and my husband who was very happy to see the spider wrote a message of thank you with my added heart to the staff for making our trip so beautiful. Drinks wise if you haven't had happy inside range lemon and yuzu very much recommend. As always lots of soy sauce, ginger on the side always great to have. Very much recommend visiting this branch of yo sushi if your in the area. 5 stars ? ?

It was a cool experience and atmosphere. The sushi rolls are small for the price. The website said they closed at 10:00 pm so I made a reservation for 8:45 pm. When we arrived the said they tried to contact me to tell me that their kitchen closed at 9:00 pm. I was never contacted so we had to rush to order any food and there was barely anything on the belt. The staff was nice but they really shouldn't allow reservations to be made online after a certain time if they have a cut off time.

Honestly the only good thing about this place was the food. When I arrived I thought they were closed and someone had broken in! Front entrance light was off/broken, door ajar, signs strewn about and no greeter and escalator turned off. Hungry, i adventured upstairs anyway to investigate and saw they WERE open! The person serving me didn?t impress, they brought me water with paper bits floating in it and couldn?t answer a simple question about allergens in one of the dishes. I saw them talking with another server often and had an icky feeling they were gossiping about customers. I also couldn?t order via the QR code on the table as the ?buy? button was greyed out, meaning I had to order via the server who seemed unsure of anything. It also took a long time for me to get their attention when i wanted to pay and leave, which irritated me because I wanted to go! But the FOOD. Well. WOW. I LOVED IT. Honestly think the chefs are the only colleagues who seem to care about the quality of diners experience. Hats off to them. I won?t be back to this restaurant.Vegetarian options: I ordered fries - on the paper menu they said ?vegan? and on the online menu the said ?vegetarian?. So there is some discrepancies which is concerning for those with allergies and ethical dietary restrictions.

I had a quick lunch here on Saturday and I think the table before us walked out without paying and we accidentally got stuck with their bill.. Without thinking, I tapped my card and it only clicked after the fact that the price the waitress mentioned was over four times what my bill should have been!Adrien, the manager, was absolutely amazing and arranged for my refund within minutes and it came into my account two days later. Normally, I would have just been refunded what I hadn?t ordered but I was refunded the entire bill apart from the service charge (£2 something)!I barely even got a second to panic about the mistake and I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. Honestly, this location has a lovely staff :)
