My worst experience ever. I had a sore eye and was referred to Look Opticians by my GP. Really to see if I have an eye infection or foreign body. Spent 50 minutes in there checking both eye as if I was going for an eye test. Was told at the end that I need new glasses, despite the fact that mine is perfect and I use it for work and reading no issues. Got another two pairs and paid £120. I have had a headache for two days having to swap my new glasses and my old one as I was told to keep on using my old glasses for computer. Went back to explain and agreed to change one of them and make it similar to what I already have!!! Agreed and accepted that fact I will have 4 glasses the same? which is pointless as my old ones are great so why buy another two pairs??? Got one changed and still not as good as my old one. Finally I realised that they only wanted to sell me glasses and not really tell me what was wrong with my eye. I went to the shop and handed in the two new glasses so they can sell them again to somebody else and make more money. And as a goodwill I have told them to keep my £120 perhaps they need money and maybe this will stop them from doing the same with other people. I have removed the family from Look Opticians and I will ensure all my friends and family know about this to avoid using them. I have been using Spec Savers for 9 years and honestly never had any issues with them. I am disappointed that people can do these things to make money. Going forward, it?s a lesson learned.

I wanted to support my local optician and decided to go to Look. I was charged £45 for an eye test and then quoted £97.50 for the exact same contact lenses that Asda charged £50 (eye test free).Having decided that Look was not for me, for obvious reasons, I went elsewhere. Unfortunately, some time later my teenage son got something in his eye at work. I hoped the contamination would ease itself out overnight, but it didn?t. Knowing that A&E prefer not to deal with eye issues, I took my son to Look at 9am the following morning. I was met with a receptionist who?s first question was whether my son had previously attended Look. Despite the answer being yes and my son?s eye being obviously swollen, red and very watery, the best she could do was offer a 2:30pm appointment. Taking into account the discomfort of my son, I decided this was not acceptable and after a quick search of alternative local services, I called Vision Express at Braehead Shopping Centre and they attended to him within the hour.Big thanks to Vision Express!!!....
