Won't be back again. Manager who was on shift today was extremely arrogant. I was using the self scanner buying wallpaper stripper & a scraper. An old lady approached me and asked for ID, clearly the staff here are on a power trip. Asked to speak to the manager who was useless. I'm 31years old, I said I would go elsewhere & his reply was "you'll just get ID'd somewhere else". Well actually, no I didn't and I bought one from another business in the same industrial estate who said B&Q have a terrible reputation for customer service. I took my business elsewhere & will not be back. I phoned & made an official complaint. Funny thing was that wallpaper stripper is an 18+ product but they sold me that, what a jobs worth. Completely contradicted themselves. Manager needs to learn some customer service skills, as a manager myself in the health care industry I would never speak to someone the way I was spoken to that was paying for a service.I have what I need now anyway but will not be back in the Falkirk branch. Place is a shambles.

We had an absolute nightmare trying to return paint that was clearly mixed incorrectly. I have no idea how B&Q are getting away with it.The customer service over the phone is excellent, however in store (Stirling and Falkirk) is atrocious.If you're considering buying paint, I would go elsewhere if you're looking to receive an honest service without being given the run-around.Lesson learned, never again.

Very expensive. Rewards card not great held up the one cash register open while the customer & cashier tried to sort the endless E - mails for a discount voucher which ended up not working & customer was told couldn't be sorted as the line of customers was building up.

Useful outlet for DIY and gardening. Member card gets you discounts. Not always the cheapest but convenient. Can always check their prices online.

I rented a carpet cleaner and complied with the written instructions regarding ensuring the tank and brush were clean upon return. However, the staff insisted the entire underside of the machine should have been cleaned, although this is specified nowhere, and then expected me to clean it there in the shop! Truly appalling customer service, added to by the fact they thought it appropriate to raise their voices as I left. B&Q, at other locations, usually have staff that try their best, avoid this one.

Shocking....this company used to have staff that could advise customers and assist them, now, it's self service and no help whatsoever.What in the hell were the suits thinking?You trudge through the store dragging or carrying heavy items and then have to scan and pay for them yourself....while any staff you see generally stand there and talk to EACH OTHER!It's a joke, why would I go there as a tradesman when I get 10% discount at wickes and they have staff that serves.B&Q you will pay for this arrogance and indifference towards your customers.
